And when a being sins and hears the sound of an oath, and he is a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he does not tell, then he bears his guilt.
Or a being who touches any unclean word, or the carcass of an unclean living creature, or the carcass of unclean livestock, or the carcass of an unclean swarming thing, and it is hidden from him, and he is unclean, and becomes guilty.
Or if he touches the uncleanness of a human, any of his uncleanness that he becomes unclean by it, and it is hidden from him, but he comes to know, then he becomes guilty.
Or when a being swears, speaking rashly with the lips, to do harm or to do good—whatever a human speaks rashly in an oath—and it is hidden from him, but he himself comes to know, then he becomes guilty in one of these.
And it happens, when he becomes guilty in one of these, he confesses what he has sinned in it.
He brings his guilt offering to Yahweh for his sin that he sinned: a female from the flock, a young ewe or a she-goat of the she-goats, for a sin; and the priest covers over him from his sin.
But if his hand does not reach enough for a sheep, he brings his guilt offering for what he sinned: two ring-doves or two young ones of a dove, to Yahweh—one for a sin and one for a burnt offering.
He brought them to the priest, and he brought near first that which is for the sin, and pinched his head from the back of his neck, but he will not separate it.
He spatters some of the blood of the sin on the wall of the altar, and what is left in the blood is drained out at the base of the altar; it is a sin.
And the second he makes a burnt offering, as prescribed, and the priest covers over him from his sin that he has sinned, and he is forgiven.
But if his hand does not reach to two ring-doves or to two young ones of a dove, he brings as his present for what he sinned a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin; he does not put oil on it and does not give frankincense on it, for it is a sin.
He brings it to the priest, and the priest grasps from it the fullness of his fistful, as its memorial, and turns it to smoke at the altar on the fire offerings of Yahweh; it is a sin.
The priest covers over him for his sin that he sinned from any one of these, and he is forgiven; and it belongs to the priest like the grain offering.
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:
When a being commits a breach and sins unintentionally from the holy things of Yahweh, he brings his guilt offering to Yahweh: an unblemished ram from the flock, by your estimate, in silver shekels, by the shekel of the sacred place, as a guilt offering.
And what he has sinned from the holy thing he repays, and he adds a fifth of it on top of it and gives it to the priest; and the priest covers over him with the ram of the guilt offering, and he is forgiven.
And if a being sins and does one of all the commandments of Yahweh that are not to be done, though he did not know, he becomes guilty and bears his guilt.
He brings an unblemished ram from the flock, by your estimate, as a guilt offering to the priest, and the priest covers over him for his unintentional error in which he went astray, though he did not know it, and he is forgiven.
It is a guilt offering; he has surely become guilty toward Yahweh.
