Leviticus4

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:

Speak to the children of Israel, saying: When a being sins unintentionally against any of the commandments of Yahweh that are not to be done, and does one of them—

If the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, then he will bring near for his sin that he has sinned a bull, a young one of the herd, unblemished, to Yahweh for a sin offering.

He will bring the bull to the door of the tent of the appointed time, before the face of Yahweh, and lay his hand on the head of the bull and slaughter the bull before the face of Yahweh.

The anointed priest will take some of the blood of the bull and bring it into the tent of the appointed time.

The priest will dip his finger in the blood and spatter some of the blood seven times before the face of Yahweh, facing the curtain of the holy place.

The priest will put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of the incense of spices before the face of Yahweh, which is in the tent of the appointed time, and all the blood of the bull he will pour out at the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tent of the appointed time.

And all the fat of the bull of the sin offering he will lift up from it, the fat that covers over the entrails, and all the fat that is over the entrails.

And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe on the liver; he will remove it along with the kidneys.

Just as it is lifted up from the ox of the sacrifice of the peace offerings, the priest will turn them to smoke on the altar of the burnt offering.

And the skin of the bull and all its flesh, along with its head and with its legs, and its entrails and its dung—

He will bring out all the bull to the outside of the camp, to a place clean, to where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood in the fire; where the ashes are poured out it will be burned.

And if all the congregation of Israel goes astray, and the word is hidden from the eyes of the company, and they do one of any of the commandments of Yahweh that are not to be done, and so become guilty—

and the sin that they sinned concerning it becomes known, then the company will bring near a bull, a young one of the herd, for a sin offering, and bring it before the face of the tent of the appointed time.

The elders of the congregation will lay their hands on the head of the bull before the face of Yahweh, and one will slaughter the bull before the face of Yahweh.

The anointed priest will bring some of the blood of the bull into the tent of the appointed time.

The priest will dip his finger in some of the blood and spatter it seven times before the face of Yahweh, facing the curtain.

He will put some of the blood on the horns of the altar that is before the face of Yahweh, which is in the tent of the appointed time, and all the blood he will pour out at the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tent of the appointed time.

And all its fat he will lift up from it and turn to smoke on the altar.

He will do to the bull as he did to the bull of the sin offering; so he will do to it. The priest will cover over them, and it will be forgiven them.

He will bring out the bull to the outside of the camp and burn it as he burned the first bull; it is the sin offering of the company.

When a prince sins and does one of all the commandments of Yahweh his God that are not to be done, unintentionally, and becomes guilty—

Or if his sin that he sinned in it is made known to him, then he brings his present, a he-goat of the she-goats, a male, unblemished.

He leans his hand on the head of the goat and slaughters it in the place where one slaughters the burnt offering before the face of Yahweh; it is the sin.

The priest will take from the blood of the sin in his finger and put it over the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and his blood he will pour to the base of the altar of the burnt offering.

And all its fat he turns to smoke at the altar, like the fat of the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest covers over him from his sin, and he is forgiven.

And if one being from the people of the land sins unintentionally in doing one of the commandments of Yahweh that are not to be done, and becomes guilty—

Or if his sin that he sinned is made known to him, he brings as his present a she-goat of the she-goats, unblemished, a female, for his sin that he sinned.

He leans his hand on the head of the sin and slaughters the sin in the place of the burnt offering.

The priest will take from her blood in his finger and put it over the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and all her blood he will pour to the base of the altar.

And all its fat he removes, just as the fat is removed from off the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest turns it to smoke at the altar as a soothing scent to Yahweh, and the priest covers over him, and he is forgiven.

And if he brings a lamb as his present for a sin, he brings it: a female, unblemished.

He leans his hand on the head of the sin and slaughters it for a sin in the place where one slaughters the burnt offering.

The priest will take from the blood of the sin in his finger and put it over the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and all her blood he will pour to the base of the altar.

And all its fat he removes, as the fat of the young sheep is removed from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest turns them to smoke at the altar on the fire offerings of Yahweh, and the priest covers over him for his sin that he sinned, and he is forgiven.
