Leviticus21

Yahweh said to Moses: Say to the priests, the children of Aaron, and you shall say to them: He shall not make himself unclean for a being among his people,

except for his flesh, the one near to him: for his mother and for his father, and for his son and for his daughter and for his brother,

And for his sister, the virgin who is near to him, who has not belonged to a husband, for her he may make himself unclean.

He shall not make himself unclean as a lord among his people, to profane himself.

They shall not make a bald patch on their head, and the corner of their beard they shall not shave, and in their flesh they shall not cut gashes.

They shall be holy to their God, and they shall not profane the name of their God, for they are presenting the fire-offerings of Yahweh, the food of their God; so they shall be holy.

They shall not take a woman who is a prostitute or polluted, and they shall not take a woman driven out from her husband, for he is holy to his God.

And you shall set him apart, for he presents the food of your God; he shall be holy to you, for I, Yahweh, who set you apart, am holy.

And if the daughter of a man who is a priest profanes herself by prostituting, she is profaning her father; she shall be burned in fire.

And the great priest from among his brothers, on whose head the oil of anointing was poured, and whose hand has been filled to wear the garments, shall not let his head hang loose, and shall not tear his garments.

And he shall not go to any dead being; for his father and for his mother he shall not make himself unclean.

And he shall not go out from the sanctuary, and he shall not profane the sanctuary of his God, for the crown, the oil of his God's anointing, is upon him: I am Yahweh.

And he shall take a woman in her virginity.

A widow, or one driven out, or a polluted woman, or a prostitute: these he shall not take; but only a virgin from his people he shall take as a wife.

And he shall not profane his seed among his people, for I am Yahweh who sets him apart.

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:

Speak to Aaron, saying: A man of your seed, throughout their generations, in whom there is a blemish, shall not come near to present the food of his God.

For any man in whom there is a blemish shall not come near: a man blind, or lame, or flat-nosed, or with a limb too long,

or a man in whom there is a fracture of the foot or a fracture of the hand,

or hunchbacked, or thin, or with a dimness in his eye, or itch, or scabs, or with a crushed testicle.

Any man in whom there is a blemish, of the seed of Aaron the priest, shall not come near to present the fire offerings of Yahweh; a blemish is in him; he shall not come near to present the food of his God.

He may eat the food of his God: from the most holy things and from the holy things.

Only he shall not go to the curtain, and he shall not draw near to the altar; for a blemish is in him; and he shall not profane my sanctuary; for I am Yahweh who sets them apart.

And Moses spoke to Aaron and to his sons and to all the children of Israel.
