Leviticus16

And Yahweh spoke to Moses after the death of the two children of Aaron, when they drew near before the face of Yahweh, and they died.

And Yahweh said to Moses: Speak to Aaron your brother, that he not come at any time into the holy place, inside the curtain, before the face of the atonement cover that is on the ark, so that he will not die; for in the cloud I will appear over the atonement cover.

With this Aaron will come into the holy place: with a bull, a young one of the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

He will wear a holy linen tunic, and linen undergarments will be on his flesh, and he will gird himself with a linen sash, and wrap himself in a linen turban; they are holy garments. And he will bathe his flesh in waters, and put them on.

And from the congregation of the children of Israel he will take two male goats of the she-goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

And Aaron will bring near the bull of the sin offering that is his, and will cover over on behalf of himself, and on behalf of his household.

And he will take the two male goats, and will station them before the face of Yahweh at the door of the tent of the appointed time.

And Aaron will set lots on the two male goats, one lot for Yahweh, and one lot for Azazel.

And Aaron will bring near the male goat on which the lot for Yahweh came up, and will make it a sin offering.

And the male goat on which the lot for Azazel came up will be stationed alive before the face of Yahweh, to cover over it, to send away it to Azazel into the wilderness.

And Aaron will bring near the bull of the sin offering that is his, and will cover over on behalf of himself, and on behalf of his household; and he will slaughter the bull of the sin offering that is his.

And he will take the fire-holder full of coals of fire from off the altar, from before the face of Yahweh, and his handfuls full of incense of crushed spices, and bring it in within the curtain.

And he will set the incense on the fire before the face of Yahweh, and the cloud of the incense will cover the atonement cover that is over the testimony, so that he will not die.

And he will take some of the blood of the bull, and will spatter it with his finger on the face of the atonement cover, eastward; and before the face of the atonement cover he will spatter some of the blood seven times with his finger.

And he will slaughter the male goat of the sin offering that is for the people, and bring its blood to within the curtain, and do with its blood, as he did with the blood of the bull; and he will spatter it on the atonement cover, and before the face of the atonement cover.

And he will cover over the holy place because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he will do for the tent of the appointed time that dwells with them in the middle of their uncleanness.

And no human being will be in the tent of the appointed time when he goes in to cover in the holy place, until his going out; and he will cover for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

And he went forth to the altar which is to the face of Yahweh, and covered over it; and he took from the blood of the bull and from the blood of the goat one, and put it over the horns of the altar round about.

And he will spatter some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and purify it, and set it apart as holy from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

And when he has finished covering the holy place and the tent of the appointed time and the altar, he will bring near the living he-goat.

And Aaron will lean his two hands on the head of the living he-goat, and he will confess over it all the guilt of the children of Israel and all their transgressions, for all their sins; and he will put them on the head of the he-goat, and send it away by the hand of a ready man into the wilderness.

And the he-goat will carry all their guilt on itself to a desolate land; and he will send away the he-goat into the wilderness.

And Aaron will go into the tent of the appointed time and take off the linen garments that he wore when he went into the holy place, and leave them there.

And he will wash his flesh in water in a holy place, and put on his garments, and go out, and make his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and cover for himself, and for the people.

And the fat of the sin offering he will turn to smoke on the altar.

And the one who sends away the he-goat to Azazel will wash his garments, and wash his flesh in water; and after that he will come into the camp.

And the bull of the sin offering, and the he-goat of the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to cover in the holy place, someone will bring out to the outside of the camp; and they will burn their hides and their flesh and their dung in the fire.

And the one who burns them will wash his garments, and wash his flesh in water; and after that he will come into the camp.

And it will be for you a statute forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you will afflict your living selves and do no work, the native-born and the sojourner who lives in your midst.

For on this day, he will cover over you to purify you from all your sins; before the face of Yahweh you will be pure.

It is a sabbath of sabbath-keeping for you, and you will afflict your living selves: a statute forever.

And the priest whom someone will anoint, and whose hand someone will fill to serve as priest in place of his father, will cover; and he will put on the linen garments, the holy garments.

And he will cover the holy sanctuary, and the tent of the appointed time, and the altar he will cover; and over the priests, and over all the people of the assembly he will cover.

And this will be for you a statute forever, to cover over the children of Israel from all their sins once in the year. And he did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
