Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:
When a man has on the skin of his flesh a swelling, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes on the skin of his flesh a plague of leprosy, he must be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests.
And the priest will see the plague on the skin of the flesh; and if the hair in the plague has turned white, and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy; the priest will see him and declare him unclean.
But if it is a white bright spot on the skin of his flesh, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and its hair has not turned white, the priest will shut up the one with the plague for seven days.
The priest will see it on the seventh day, and look, the plague has stood in his eyes: the plague has not spread in the skin, and the priest will shut him up seven days a second time.
The priest will see it again on the seventh day, and look, the plague has grown dim and the plague has not spread in the skin; the priest will pronounce him clean: it is a scurf. He will wash his garments, and he will be clean.
And if the scurf surely spreads in the skin after he has been seen by the priest for his cleansing, he will be seen a second time by the priest.
The priest will see, and look, the scurf has spread in the skin; the priest will defile him: it is leprosy.
When a plague of leprosy is in a person, he will be brought to the priest.
The priest will see, and look, a white swelling is in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and the quick of living flesh is in the swelling.
It is a leprosy grown old in the skin of his flesh, and the priest will defile him; he will not shut him up, for he is unclean.
And if the leprosy surely buds out in the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the plagued person, from his head to his feet, as far as the priest's eyes can see,
The priest will see, and look, the leprosy has covered all his flesh, and he will pronounce the plagued person clean: all of him has turned white; he is clean.
But on the day living flesh appears in him, he will be unclean.
The priest will see the living flesh and will defile him; the living flesh is unclean: it is leprosy.
Or if the living flesh turns back and is turned to white, he will come to the priest.
The priest will see it, and look, the plague has been turned to white; the priest will pronounce the plagued person clean: he is clean.
And when flesh has a boil in its skin, and it is healed,
and there will be in the place of the boil a white swelling, or a bright spot, reddish white, and he will be seen by the priest.
The priest will see, and look, its look is lower than the skin, and its hair has turned white; the priest will defile him: it is a plague of leprosy that has budded out in the boil.
But if the priest sees it, and look, there is no white hair in it, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is dim, the priest will shut him up seven days.
And if it surely spreads in the skin, the priest will defile him: it is a plague.
But if the bright spot stays in its place and has not spread, it is the scar of the boil; the priest will pronounce him clean.
Or when flesh has in its skin a burn of fire, and the quick of the burn becomes a bright spot, reddish white, or white,
The priest will see it, and look, the hair in the bright spot has turned white, and its look is deeper than the skin: it is leprosy that has budded out in the burn; the priest will defile him: it is a plague of leprosy.
And if the priest sees it, and look, there is no white hair in the bright spot, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is dim, the priest will shut him up seven days.
The priest will see it on the seventh day; if it surely spreads in the skin, the priest will defile him: it is a plague of leprosy.
But if the bright spot stays in its place and has not spread in the skin, and it is dim, it is the swelling of the burn; the priest will pronounce him clean, for it is the scar of the burn.
When a man or a woman has a plague on the head or in the beard,
The priest will see the plague, and look, its look is deeper than the skin, and in it is thin, yellow hair; the priest will defile him: it is a scab; it is the leprosy of the head or the beard.
And if the priest sees the plague of the scab, and look, its look is not deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, the priest will shut up the plague of the scab seven days.
The priest will see the plague on the seventh day, and look, the scab has not spread, and there was no yellow hair in it, and the look of the scab is not deeper than the skin,
he will shave himself, but he will not shave the scab; and the priest will shut up the scab seven days a second time.
The priest will see the scab on the seventh day, and look, the scab has not spread in the skin, and its look is not deeper than the skin; the priest will pronounce him clean. He will wash his garments, and he will be clean.
But if the scab surely spreads in the skin after his cleansing,
Then the priest will see it, and look, the scall has spread in the skin; the priest will not attend to the yellow hair: he is unclean.
But if in his eyes the scall has stood, and black hair has sprouted in it, the scall is healed: he is clean, and the priest will declare him pure.
And when a man or a woman has in the skin of their flesh bright spots, white bright spots,
then the priest will see, and look, in the skin of their flesh are bright spots faded white: it is a harmless thing that has budded in the skin; he is clean.
And when a man's head becomes bare, he is bald: he is clean.
And if from the corner of his face his head becomes bare, he is bald at the forehead: he is clean.
But if there is in the bald spot or in the bald forehead a white-reddish plague, it is leprosy budding in his bald spot or in his bald forehead.
And the priest will see him, and look, the swelling of the plague is white-reddish in his bald spot or in his bald forehead, like the appearance of leprosy of the skin of the flesh.
He is a man stricken with leprosy, he is unclean; the priest will surely declare him unclean: his plague is on his head.
And the one stricken with leprosy, in whom the plague is, his garments will be torn, and his head will be let loose, and over his lip he will wrap himself, and "Unclean! Unclean!" he will call out.
All the days that the plague is on him, he will be unclean; he is unclean; he will dwell alone; outside the camp is his dwelling.
And when a garment has in it a plague of leprosy, in a garment of wool or in a garment of linen,
or in the warp or in the woof, of linen or of wool, or in a hide or in any work of hide,
and the plague is greenish or reddish in the garment or in the hide, or in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of hide, it is a plague of leprosy, and it will be shown to the priest.
And the priest will see the plague, and shut up the plague for seven days.
And he will see the plague on the seventh day; if the plague has spread in the garment, or in the warp or in the woof, or in the hide, in anything that the hide is made into work, the plague is a pricking leprosy: it is unclean.
And he will burn the garment, or the warp, or the woof, in the wool or in the linen, or any article of hide in which the plague is; for it is a pricking leprosy, it will be burned in the fire.
But if the priest sees, and look, the plague has not spread in the garment, or in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of hide,
then the priest will command, and they will wash that in which the plague is, and he will shut it up seven days a second time.
And the priest will see, after the plague has been washed out, and look, the plague has not changed its appearance, and the plague has not spread: it is unclean; you will burn it in the fire; it is an eating-out in its bald spot or in its bare spot.
And if the priest has seen, and look, the plague has grown dim after it was washed out, he will tear it from the garment or from the hide or from the warp or from the woof.
And if it appears again in the garment, or in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of hide, it is budding: you will burn it with fire, that in which the plague is.
And the garment, or the warp, or the woof, or any article of hide that you wash, and the plague departs from them, will be washed a second time, and will be pure.
This is the instruction of the plague of leprosy in a garment of wool or linen, or the warp or the woof, or any article of hide, to declare it pure or to declare it unclean.
