Leviticus1

Yahweh called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of the appointed time, saying:

Speak to the children of Israel, and you will say to them: When a man from you will bring near a present to Yahweh, from the livestock, from the cattle and from the flock you will bring near your present.

If his present is a burnt offering from the cattle, a male unblemished he will bring it near; to the door of the tent of the appointed time he will bring it near, for his acceptance, to the face of Yahweh.

He will lean his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted for him, to cover over him.

He will slaughter the young of the herd before the face of Yahweh, and the sons of Aaron the priests will bring near the blood and sprinkle the blood against the altar all around, the one at the entrance of the tent of appointed meeting.

He will strip the skin off the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.

The sons of Aaron the priest will put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.

The sons of Aaron the priests will arrange the pieces, the head and the suet, on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar.

Its entrails and its legs he will wash with water, and the priest will turn the whole to smoke on the altar: a burnt offering, a fire offering, a soothing scent to Yahweh.

And if his present is from the flock, from the young sheep or from the she-goats, for a burnt offering, he will bring near an unblemished male.

He will slaughter it on the flank of the altar toward the north, before the face of Yahweh, and the sons of Aaron the priests will sprinkle its blood against the altar all around.

He will cut it into its pieces, along with its head and its fat, and the priest will arrange them on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar.

And the entrails and the legs he will wash with water, and the priest will bring near the whole and turn it to smoke on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a fire offering, a soothing scent to Yahweh.

And if his present to Yahweh is a burnt offering from the birds, he will bring near his present from the ring-doves or from the young of the dove.

The priest will bring it near to the altar and nip off its head and turn it to smoke on the altar, and its blood will be drained out against the wall of the altar.

He will remove its crop with its feathers and throw it down beside the altar, on the east side, at the place of the fatty ashes.

He split it in his wings, but he will not separate it; the priest turned it to smoke over the altar, over the woods which are over the fire; it is a burnt offering, a burnt-offering of the odor of the soothing to Yahweh.
