¹The second lot went out for Simeon, for the tribe of the children of Simeon, by their families; and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Judah.

²They had in their inheritance Beer-sheba, Sheba, and Moladah,

³and Hazar-shual, and Balah, and Ezem,

⁴and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,

⁵and Ziklag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah,

⁶and Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen: thirteen cities and their courts;

⁷Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan: four cities and their courts;

⁸and all the courts that were around these cities, as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the Negev. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon by their families.

⁹From the region of the children of Judah came the inheritance of the children of Simeon, for the portion of the children of Judah was too great for them; so the children of Simeon inherited in the middle of their inheritance.

¹⁰The third lot came up for the children of Zebulun by their families; and the boundary of their inheritance was as far as Sarid.

¹¹Their boundary went up to the sea and Maralah, and touched Dabbesheth, and touched the wadi that lies over against the face of Jokneam.

¹²It turned back from Sarid, eastward, toward the rising of the sun, to the boundary of Kisloth-tabor, then went out to Daberath and went up to Japhia.

¹³And from there it passed on eastward, toward the sunrise, to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin, and went out to Rimmon, which is traced out toward Neah.

¹⁴And the boundary skirted it on the north at Hannathon; and its extremities were the valley of Iphtah-el.

¹⁵And Kattah, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Beth-lehem: twelve cities and their courts.

¹⁶This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun by their families: these cities and their courts.

¹⁷The fourth lot came out for Issachar, for the children of Issachar by their families.

¹⁸Their boundary was toward Jezreel, Kesulloth, and Shunem,

¹⁹and Hapharaim, Shion, and Anaharath,

²⁰and Rabbith, Kishion, and Ebez,

²¹and Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez.

²²And the boundary touched Tabor, Shahazayim, and Beth-shemesh; and the extremities of their boundary were at the Jordan: sixteen cities and their courts.

²³This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar by their families: the cities and their courts.

²⁴The fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher by their families.

²⁵Their boundary was Helkath, Hali, Beten, and Acshaph,

²⁶Alammelech, Amad, and Mishal; and it touched Carmel toward the sea, and Shihor-libnath,

²⁷and it turned back toward the rising of the sun to Beth-dagon, and touched Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el northward, Beth-emek and Neiel, and went out to Cabul on the left,

²⁸and Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, as far as great Sidon.

²⁹Then the boundary turned back to Ramah and as far as the walled city of Tyre; the boundary turned back to Hosah, and its extremities were at the sea from the region of Achzib,

³⁰and Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities and their courts.

³¹This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher by their families: these cities and their courts.

³²For the children of Naphtali the sixth lot came out, for the children of Naphtali by their families.

³³Their boundary was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, Adami-nekeb, and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum; and its extremities were at the Jordan.

³⁴The boundary turned back westward at Aznoth-tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok, and touched Zebulun on the south, and touched Asher on the west, and Judah at the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun.

³⁵And the walled cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, and Kinnereth,

³⁶and Adamah, Ramah, and Hazor,

³⁷and Kedesh, Edrei, and En-hazor.

³⁸and Yiron, and Migdal-el, Horem, and Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh: nineteen cities and their courts.

³⁹This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali by their families: the cities and their courts.

⁴⁰The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan, by their families.

⁴¹And the territory of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Ir-shemesh,

⁴²and Shaalabbin, and Aijalon, and Ithlah,

⁴³and Elon, and Timnah, and Ekron,

⁴⁴and Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath,

⁴⁵and Jehud, and Bene-berak, and Gath-rimmon,

⁴⁶and the waters of the Yarkon, and Rakkon, with the boundary in front of Joppa.

⁴⁷And the territory of the children of Dan went out from them; and the children of Dan came up and fought against Leshem, captured it, struck it with the edge of the sword, took possession of it, and dwelled in it. They called Leshem Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

⁴⁸This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan by their families: these cities and their courts.

⁴⁹They finished taking possession of the land, by its borders; and the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun in their midst.

⁵⁰By the mouth of Yahweh they gave him the city that he asked for, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he built the city and dwelled in it.

⁵¹These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel gave as possessions by lot at Shiloh, before the face of Yahweh, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. So they finished apportioning the land.
