Job42

And Job answered Yahweh and said:

I know that you are able to do all things, and no purpose is withheld from you.

Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have told, and I did not understand; things too wondrous for me, and I did not know.

Listen, please, and I will speak; I will ask you, and make it known to me.

By the hearing of the ear I had heard of you; but now my eye has seen you.

Therefore I reject it, and I repent upon dust and ashes.

And it happened, after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, that Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite: My anger has burned against you and your two friends, for you did not speak to me what is reliable, as my slave Job did.

And now take seven bulls and seven rams for yourselves, and go to my slave Job, and bring up a burnt offering on your behalf. Then Job my slave will pray for you, for only his face will I lift up, so as not to do outrage with you, because you did not speak to me what is reliable, as my slave Job did.

And Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as Yahweh had spoken to them; and Yahweh lifted up the face of Job.

And Yahweh restored Job's former prosperity when he prayed on behalf of his friends; and Yahweh added to all that belonged to Job, double.

And all his brothers and all his sisters and all who had known him before came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house; and they shook their heads over him and comforted him over all the evil that Yahweh had brought upon him. And each man gave him one piece of money, and each man one ring of gold.

And Yahweh blessed the latter part of Job more than his beginning; and he came to have fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand pairs of cattle, and a thousand female donkeys.

And he had seven sons and three daughters.

And he called the name of the first Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-Happuch.

And no women were found beautiful as the daughters of Job in all the land; and their father gave them an inheritance in the midst of their brothers.

And Job lived after that a hundred and forty years, and saw his children and the children of his children, four generations.

And Job died, old and satisfied with days.
