And Yahweh answered Job and said:
Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? The one who corrects God, let him answer it.
And Job answered Yahweh and said:
Behold, I am of little account; what can I give back to you? I lay my hand over my mouth.
Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; twice, and I will not add more.
And Yahweh answered Job from the whirlwind and said:
Gird up your loins now like a man; I will ask you, and you make it known to me.
Would you even annul my justice? Would you condemn me as guilty so that you may be in the right?
Or do you have an arm like God's, and can you thunder with a voice like his?
Adorn yourself now with majesty and height, and clothe yourself in splendor and honor.
Scatter the outbursts of your anger, and see every arrogant one and bring him low.
See every arrogant one and humble him, and tread down the wicked where they stand.
Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in the hidden place.
Then I too will give thanks to you, because your right hand can save you.
Look now at Behemoth, whom I made along with you; he eats grass like cattle.
Look now, his strength is in his loins, and his vigor in the muscles of his belly.
He bends his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are intertwined.
His bones are channels of bronze, his frame like a wrought-metal rod of iron.
He is the first of God's ways; the one who made him brings near his sword.
For the mountains carry their produce to him, and all the living creatures of the field play there.
Under the lotus plants he lies down, in the hiding place of the reed and the swamp.
The lotus plants cover him with their shade; the willows of the wadi surround him.
Behold, the river oppresses, and he does not panic; he trusts, though the Jordan bursts forth to his mouth.
Can anyone take him while his eyes watch, or pierce his nose with snares?
