And Elihu added and said,
Wait for me a little, and I will show you, for there are still words for God.
I will lift up my knowledge from afar, and to my maker I will give righteousness.
For truly my words are not false; one sound in knowledge is with you.
Behold, God is mighty and does not reject; mighty in strength of heart.
He does not keep alive the wicked, and he gives the poor their justice.
He does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous; with kings on the throne he seats them for all time, and they are exalted.
And if they are bound in fetters, caught in cords of affliction,
then he tells them their deed and their transgressions, that they have behaved proudly.
He uncovered their ear to discipline, and said that they must turn back from wickedness.
If they hear and serve, they will finish their days in good and their years in pleasant things.
But if they do not hear, they pass away by the weapon, and breathe their last without knowledge.
The godless of heart set anger in place; they do not cry for help when he binds them.
Their being dies in youth, and their life among the temple prostitutes.
He delivers the poor by their affliction, and uncovers their ear by oppression.
And he also lures you from the mouth of a tight place into a broad place with no constraint beneath it, and what descends to your table is full of fatness.
But you are full of the case of the wicked; case and justice take hold of you.
For anger: lest it lure you into hand-clapping, and let the greatness of the ransom not turn you aside.
Will your opulence set you in order, not in a tight place, nor all your strong efforts.
Do not long for the night, when peoples go up in their place.
Take care, do not turn to wickedness, for you have chosen this over affliction.
Behold, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him?
Who has assigned him his way? And who has said, You have done injustice?
Remember to magnify his work, which people have sung.
All humankind has gazed on it; a mortal looks from a distance.
Behold, God is great, and we do not know him; the number of his years, there is no searching.
For he draws up the drops of water; they refine rain into his mist.
which the clouds pour down; they drip upon humankind in great number.
Also, can anyone understand the spreadings of the dark cloud, the crashes of his shelter?
Behold, he spreads his light around it, and covers the roots of the sea.
For by them he judges peoples; he gives food in abundance.
He covers the palms with light, and commands it against the one who attacks.
His roar tells of him; the livestock too, of the one rising.
