Job32

So these three men ceased from answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then the anger of Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, burned; against Job his anger burned, because he justified his own being more than God.

And against his three friends his anger burned, because they did not find an answer, and yet they condemned Job.

And Elihu had waited for Job in words, because they were older than he in days.

When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, his anger burned.

So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite answered and said: I am little in days, and you are aged; therefore I crawled away and was afraid to declare my knowledge to you.

I said, Days will speak, and the multitude of years will make known wisdom.

But it is the breath in man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.

It is not the great who are wise, nor the old who understand justice.

So I said, Hear me; I will declare my knowledge, I too.

Behold, I waited for your words, I gave ear to your understandings, until you searched out speech.

And I paid close heed to you, and behold, there was none of you reproving Job, none answering his words.

Lest you say, We have found wisdom; God will drive him away, not a man.

And he has not arranged speech against me, and with your words I will not reply to him.

They were dismayed, they answered no more; speech moved away from them.

And shall I wait, because they do not speak, because they stand still and answer no more?

I too will answer my portion; I too will declare my knowledge.

For I am full of speech; the breath of my belly presses me.

Behold, my belly is like wine that is not opened; like new wineskins it will be split open.

Let me speak, that I may breathe freely; let me open my lips wide and answer.

Let me not lift up the face of any man, and to no human being will I give a title.

For I do not know how to give titles; in a little while the one who made me would carry me off.
