John7

And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee; for he was not desiring to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.

Now the festival of the Jews, of Booths, was near.

Therefore his brothers said to him, Depart from here and go into Judea, so that your disciples also will see your works that you are doing;

for no one does anything in secret and seeks himself to be in public; if you do these things, show yourself to the world.

For not even his brothers were trusting in him.

Therefore Jesus says to them, My appointed-time is not yet come, but your appointed-time is always ready.

The world is not able to hate you, however it hates me, because I myself bear witness concerning it that its works are evil.

You yourselves go up to this festival; I myself am not going up to this festival, for my appointed-time has not yet been fulfilled.

Now these things, when he himself had said, he remained in Galilee.

However when his brothers had gone up to the festival, then he himself also went up, not openly but as in secret.

Therefore the Jews were seeking him at the festival and were saying, Where is he?

And there was much murmuring about him among the crowds. Some indeed were saying that he is good, however others were saying, No, but he deceives the people.

However no one was speaking publicly about him because of the fear of the Jews.

Now also, the festival being in the middle, Jesus went up into the temple and was teaching.

And then the Jews were marveling, saying, How does this one know writings, not having studied?

Therefore Jesus answered them and said, My teaching is not of myself, but of the One who, having sent me;

if anyone shall desire to do his will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God or I myself speak from myself.

The one speaking from himself seeks his own glory; however the One seeking the glory of the One who, having sent him, he is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.

Has not Moses given to you the law? And no one of you keeps the law! Why do you seek to kill me?

The crowd answered and said, You have a demon; who seeks to kill you?

Jesus answered and said to them, One work I did, and you all marvel.

Because of this: Moses has given you the circumcision — not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers — and on Sabbath you circumcise a man.

If a man receives circumcision on Sabbath, so that the law of Moses shall not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a man entirely sound on the Sabbath?

Judge not according to appearance, but judge the righteous judgment.

Therefore some of those of Jerusalem were saying, Is this not he whom they seek to kill?

And behold, he speaks publicly, and they say nothing to him. Truly, otherwise, have the rulers recognized that this is truly the Anointed One?

But this man we know from where he is; however the Anointed One, whenever he may come, no one knows from where he is.

Therefore Jesus, teaching in the temple, cried out and saying, You know me and you know from where I am; and I have not come of myself, but the One who sent me is true, whom you yourselves do not know;

now I myself know him, because from him I am, and he sent me.

Therefore they were seeking to take him, but no one laid the hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.

Now many out of the crowd trusted in him and were saying that, The Anointed One, when he may come, surely will not do more signs than these things which this man has done?

The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things about him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers that they may seize him.

Therefore Jesus said to them, Yet a little time I am with you, and I go to the One who sent me.

You will seek me and will not find me, and where I myself am, you yourselves are not able to come.

Therefore the Jews said among themselves, Where is he about to go, that we ourselves will not find him? Surely he is not about to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?

What is this word that he said, You will seek me and will not find me, and where I myself am, you yourselves are not able to come?

Now in the last great day of the festival Jesus had stood and cried out, saying, If anyone shall thirst, he should come to me and should drink.

The one trusting in me, even as the Scripture has said, Rivers of living water will flow out of his belly.

Now this he said concerning the Spirit which those who believed in him were about to receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Therefore many from the crowd, having heard these words, were saying that, This is truly the Prophet.

Others were saying, This is the Anointed One; however those were saying, Surely the Anointed One does not come out of Galilee?

Has not the Scripture said that out of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem the village where David was, comes the Anointed One?

Therefore a division occurred in the crowd because of him.

Now some of them were desiring to seize him, but no one laid the hands on him.

Therefore the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, Because of why did you not bring him?

The officers answered, Never spoke a man like this, as this man.

Therefore the Pharisees answered them, Surely you yourselves also have not been deceived?

Surely not any of the rulers has trusted on him, or of the Pharisees?

But this crowd, not knowing the law, are cursed.

Nicodemus says to them, the one who came at night to him, being the former one of them;

Surely our law does not judge the man unless it shall first hear from him and may know what he does?

They answered and they said to him, Surely you yourself also are not from Galilee? Search and see that out of Galilee a prophet is not raised.

And each went to his home,
