And on the third day a wedding took place in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there;
Then Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the wedding.
And when the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus says to Him, "They have no wine."
And Jesus says to her, "What is that to Me and to you, madam? My hour has not yet come."
His mother says to the servants, "Whatever He may anyhow say to you, perform."
Now there were there six stone water jars, standing according to the purification of the Jews, having space for two or three measures.
Jesus says to them, "Fill the jars with water." And they filled them up to the brim.
And He says to them, "Draw out now and carry to the master of the feast." Then they carried it.
Then when the master of the feast tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know from where it was (the servants, however, who had drawn the water, knew), the master of the feast calls the bridegroom
and says to him, "Every man first sets out the good wine, and when they may have drunk freely, then the inferior; you yourself have kept the good wine until now."
This Jesus did, the beginning of the signs, in Cana of Galilee, and He revealed his glory, and his disciples trusted in Him.
After this He went down to Capernaum, He himself and his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and there they stayed not many days.
And the Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
And He found in the temple those selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting,
and when he had made a whip of cords, He drove all out from the temple, both the sheep and the oxen, and He poured out the coin of the money changers, and overthrew the tables,
and to those selling the doves He said, "Take these things from here; make not the house of my Father a house of trade."
Now his disciples remembered that it is written, "The zeal of your house will consume Me."
Therefore the Jews answered and said to Him, "What sign do You show to us, that You do these things?"
Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
Therefore the Jews said, "For forty and six years this temple was built, and You yourself in three days will raise it up?"
However He was speaking concerning the temple of his body.
When therefore He was raised up out from the dead, his disciples remembered that He was saying this to them, and they trusted in the Scripture and in the word that Jesus had spoken.
Then when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the Festival, many trusted in his name, beholding his signs that He was doing.
However on His part, Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, because of His knowing all men,
and because He had no need that anyone may testify concerning the man; for He Himself knew what was in the man.
