These things I have spoken to you that you may not fall away.
Out of the synagogues they will put you; but an hour is coming that everyone who having killed you may think it is a service to offer to God.
And these things they will do to you because they know not the Father nor Me.
But these things I have said to you, so that when their hour may have come, you may remember those things that I Myself said to you. Now these things I said not to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
However now I go to the One who sent Me, and none of you asks Me: Where are You going?
But because these things I have said to you, the sorrow has filled your heart.
But I Myself say the truth to you: it is profitable for you that I Myself may go away; for unless I Myself shall go away, the Helper will not come to you; however if I shall go, I will send Him to you.
And having come, He will convict the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment.
Concerning sin indeed, because they do not trust in Me;
however concerning righteousness, because to my Father I go away, and no longer you behold Me;
now concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.
But yet many things I have to say to you, you are not able to bear them now.
When however He may come, the Spirit of truth, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak from Himself, but as much as He will hear He will speak, and the things coming He will declare to you.
He will glorify Me, for from that which is Mine He will take and will disclose to you.
All things as much as the Father has are Mine; because of this I said that from that which is Mine He receives and will disclose to you.
A little while and you do behold Me no longer, and again a little while and you will behold Me, that I Myself am going to the Father.
Therefore some of His disciples said to one another: What is this that He says to us, a little while and you do not behold Me, and again a little while and you will behold Me? and because I Myself am going to the Father?
Therefore they were saying: What is this that He says, a little while? We do not know what He is saying.
Therefore Jesus knew that they were desiring to ask Him, and He said to them: Concerning this do you inquire among one another that I said, a little while and you do not behold Me, and again a little while and you will behold Me?
Amen, I say to you that you yourselves will weep and will lament, but the world will rejoice; now you yourselves will be grieved, but your grief will turn to joy.
The woman when she may be giving birth has pain, because her hour has come; when however she may bring forth the child, no longer she remembers the tribulation on account of the joy that a man has been born into the world.
Also you yourselves therefore now indeed have grief, however again I will see you and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one takes from you.
And in that very day you will ask Me nothing. Amen, I say to you: whatever you may ask the Father in my name He will give to you.
Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, that your joy may be filled.
These things in allegories I have spoken to you; but an hour is coming when no longer in allegories I will speak to you, but plainly concerning the Father I will announce to you.
In that very day you will ask in my name; and I say not to you that I Myself will implore the Father for you;
for the Father Himself loves you, because you yourselves have loved Me and have believed that I Myself came forth from God.
I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again I leave the world and go to the Father.
His disciples say to him: Behold, now You speak in openness and speak nothing in allegory.
Now we know that You know all things and have no need that anyone may ask You. In this we trust that You came forth from God.
Jesus answered them: Now do you trust?
Behold, an hour is coming and now has come, when you may be scattered each to his own and you may leave Me alone; yet I am not alone, for the Father is with Me.
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have wholeness. In the world you have tribulation; but take courage! I Myself have overcome the world.
