John10

Amen I say to you, the one not entering in through the door to the fold of the sheep but climbing up another way, he is a thief and a robber;

However the one entering in through the door is shepherd of the sheep.

To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep listen to his voice, and his own sheep he calls by name and leads them out.

And when he may bring out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow after him, because they know his voice.

However after a stranger they certainly will not follow but will flee from him, because they know not the voice of strangers.

This allegory Jesus spoke to them; however they did not know what it was that He was saying to them.

Therefore Jesus said again to them, "Amen I say to you that I am the door of the sheep.

All as many as came before Me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not listen to them.

I am the door; if anyone shall enter in through Me, he will be saved and will go in and will go out and will find pasture.

The thief does not come except that he shall steal and shall kill and shall destroy; I myself came that they may have life and may have excessive.

I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Now the hired servant, however, not being the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees — and the wolf snatches them and scatters the sheep.

Now this hired servant flees because he is a hired servant, and he himself is not concerned to him about the sheep.

I am the good shepherd, and I know My own, and those mine know me,

Even as the Father knows Me, I myself also know the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep.

And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also it behooves Me to bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, with one shepherd.

Because of this the Father loves Me, because I myself lay down my life, that I may take it again.

No one takes it away from Me, but I myself lay it down of Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority again to take it; this commandment I received from my Father."

Therefore there was division again among the Jews on account of these words.

Now many of them were saying, "He has a demon and is insane; why do you listen to Him?"

Now others were saying, "These are not the words of one demonised; surely a demon is not able to open the eyes of the blind?"

At the time took place the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem; and it was winter,

And Jesus was walking in the temple, in the porch of Solomon.

Therefore the Jews encircled Him and were saying to Him, "Until when do You hold our being in suspense? If You yourself are the Anointed One, tell us plainly."

Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you trust not. The works that I myself do in the name of my Father, these bear witness concerning Me;

But you yourselves do not trust, because you are not from among my sheep, even as I said to you.

My sheep listen to my voice, and I myself know them, and they follow Me,

And I myself give to them eternal life, and they shall certainly not perish forever, and never will anyone seize them out of my hand.

My Father, which has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to seize them out of the hand of my Father.

I myself and the Father are one."

Therefore the Jews took up stones again, that they may stone Him.

Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from my Father; for which of these works do you stone Me?"

The Jews answered to Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You yourself, being a man, make yourself God."

Jesus answered them, "Surely it is written in your law that I myself said, 'You are gods'?

If he called them gods to whom the word of God came, and the Scripture is not able to be broken,

Of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, do you yourselves say that You blaspheme, because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

If I do not the works of my Father, then trust Me not;

However if I do, even if you shall not trust Me, trust in the works, so that you may know and may understand that the Father is in Me, and I myself in the Father."

Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him; but He went forth out of their hand

And He departed again beyond Jordan to the place where John was at first immersing, and there He stayed.

And many came to Him and were saying that John indeed did no sign, however everything as much as John said about this man was true.

And many trusted in Him there.
