And the children of Israel repeated to make the evil in the eyes of Yahweh, and Ehud died.
And Yahweh sold them into the hand of Jabin the king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; and the official of his host was Sisera, and he dwelled in Harosheth of the Nations.
And the children of Israel cried to Yahweh, for nine hundred chariots of the iron were to him; and he oppressed the children of Israel with force twenty years.
And Deborah, a woman, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel in that time.
And she sat under the palm trunk of Deborah, between the Ramah and Beth-el, in the mountain of Ephraim; and the children of Israel came up to her to the justice.
And she sent and called to Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh of Naphtali, and said to him, Has not Yahweh the God of Israel commanded, Go, you drew to the mountain of Tabor, and you took with you ten thousand men from the children of Naphtali and from the children of Zebulun?
And I drew to you to the wadi of Kishon Sisera, the official of the host of Jabin, and his chariots and his hordes; and I set him in your hand.
And Barak said to her, If you go with me, then I go; and if you will not go with me, I will not go.
And she said, Going I will go with you; only it will not be your splendor over the way which you go, for in the hand of a woman Yahweh will sell Sisera. And Deborah rose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
And Barak cried Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh, and ten thousand of the men came up at his feet; and Deborah came up with him.
And Heber the Kenite had parted from Cain, from the children of Hobab who intermarried with Moses, and pitched his tent in oak in Zaanannim, which is in Kedesh.
And they told to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had come up to the mountain of Tabor.
And Sisera cried all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of the iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth of the Nations to the wadi of Kishon.
And Deborah said to Barak, Rise, for this is the day which Yahweh has set Sisera in your hand; has not Yahweh gone forth before your face? And Barak came down from the mountain of Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
And Yahweh threw Sisera and all the chariots and all the camp with the edge of the sword before the face of Barak; and Sisera came down from over the chariot, and fled at his feet.
And Barak ran after the chariots and after the camp to Harosheth of the Nations; and all the camp of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword, there did not leave one.
And Sisera fled at his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for wholeness was between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
And Jael went forth to encounter Sisera, and said to him, Remove, my lord, remove to me, do not fear. And he removed to her, to the tent; and she covered him in the rug.
And he said to her, Water me a little of the waters, for I am parched. And she opened wide the wineskin of the milk, and watered him, and covered him.
And he said to her, Stand at the door of the tent; and it will be, if a man come and inquire of you, and say, Is there here a man? then you say, There is none.
And Jael the wife of Heber took the stake of the tent, and put the hammer in her hand, and went to him in the secret, and blew the stake in his temple, and it dismounted in the land; and he fasted, and exhausted, and died.
And Barak ran after Sisera; and Jael went forth to encounter him, and said to him, Go, and I will show you the man whom you searched. And he went to her, Sisera fallen dead, and the stake in his temple.
And God humbled in that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the face of the children of Israel.
And the hand of the children of Israel went, going and harsh, over Jabin the king of Canaan, until they cut off Jabin the king of Canaan.
