There was a man from the mountain of Ephraim, and his name was Micaiah.
He said to his mother, "The thousand and hundred of silver that was taken from you, about which you cursed and also said in my ears — the silver is with me; I took it." His mother said, "Blessed be my son to Yahweh."
And he returned the hundred of silver, the thousand, to his mother. His mother said, "I surely set apart the silver to Yahweh from my hand to my son, to make an idol and a cast; and now I will return it to you."
He returned the silver to his mother, and his mother took a two hundred of silver and set it to the silversmith, an idol and a cast; and he made it. It was in the house of Micaiah.
And the man Micah had to him the house of God; he made an ephod and teraphims, and filled the hand of one from his sons, and he was to it the priest.
In those days there was no king in Israel; the man would make what pleased well and right in his eyes.
There was a boy from Beth-lechem Judah, from the family of Judah, and he was a Levite, and he lived there.
The man went from the city, from Beth-lechem Judah, to live in which he would find. He came to the mountain of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, to make his way.
Micah said to him, "From where will you come?" He said to him, "I am a Levite from Beth-lechem Judah, and I went to live in which I will find."
Micah said to him, "Dwell in me, and be to me to the father and to the priest, and I will give to you ten of silver to the days, and the arrangement of the garments, and your preservation of life." So the Levite went.
The Levite was willing to dwell with the man, and the boy was to it as one from his sons.
Micah filled the hand of the Levite, and the boy was to it the priest, and he was in the house of Micah.
Micah now said, "I knew Yahweh will go well to me, for the Levite was to me the priest."
