Isaiah61

The breath of the Adonai Yahweh is upon me, because Yahweh has anointed me to bring good news to the humble; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and the opening of the dungeon to those bound.

to proclaim the year of favor of Yahweh and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

to set for the mourners of Zion, to give them a turban in place of ashes, the oil of joy in place of mourning, a mantle of praise in place of a faint breath; and they will be called pillars of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, so that he may be glorified.

They will rebuild the ruins of forever; they will raise up the former desolate places; they will renew the cities of drought, the desolations of generation after generation.

Strangers will stand and shepherd your flocks, and the sons of foreigners will be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But you will be called priests of Yahweh; it will be said to you, "Servants of our God." You will eat the wealth of nations, and in their weightiness you will boast.

Instead of your shame, double; and instead of disgrace they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double; the gladness of forever will be theirs.

For I, Yahweh, am loving justice and hating robbery with injustice; I will give their recompense in faithfulness, and I will cut a covenant of forever with them.

Their seed will be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them will recognize them, that they are the seed whom Yahweh has blessed.

I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh, my being will exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, like a bridegroom who acts as priest with a turban, and like a bride who bedecks herself with her dress.

For as the land brings out its growth, and as a garden makes what is sown in it sprout; so the Adonai Yahweh will make righteousness and praise sprout before all the nations.
