Isaiah60

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the weightiness of Yahweh has dawned upon you.

For look, darkness will cover the land, and thick cloud the peoples; but upon you Yahweh will dawn, and his weightiness will be seen upon you.

And nations will walk toward your light, and kings toward the brightness of your dawn.

Lift up your eyes all around and see: they all have gathered together, they have come to you; your sons will come from afar, and your daughters are carried at the side.

Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will be in awe and grow wide; for the abundance of the sea will be turned over to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you.

An abundance of camels will cover you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all of them will come from Sheba. They will carry gold and frankincense, and bear the news of the praises of Yahweh.

All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you; the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will go up on my altar with acceptance, and I will beautify the house of my splendor.

Who are these that fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows?

For the coastlands wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish will be first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the holy one of Israel, for he has beautified you.

And the sons of foreigners will build your walls, and their kings will serve you; for in my wrath I struck you, and in my favor I have had compassion on you.

Your gates will stand wide open continually; by day and by night they will not be shut, to bring to you the wealth of nations, with their kings led along.

For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve you will perish; and the nations will be utterly dried up.

The weightiness of Lebanon will come to you: cypress, pine, and box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will honor the place of my feet.

The sons of those who afflicted you will go to you bowing low; and all who despised you will bow down at the soles of your feet; and they will call you the city of Yahweh, Zion of the holy one of Israel.

Instead of your being forsaken and hated, with no one passing through, I will make you a majesty forever, a joy from generation to generation.

You will suck the milk of nations, and at the breast of kings you will suck; and you will know that I, Yahweh, am your deliverer, and your redeemer, the mighty one of Jacob.

Instead of bronze I will bring gold; and instead of iron I will bring silver; instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones, iron. And I will make your oversight wholeness, and your taskmasters righteousness.

Violence will not be heard again in your land, devastation and ruin within your borders; you will call your walls deliverance, and your gates praise.

The sun will no longer be light for you by day, and the moon will not shine on you with brightness; but Yahweh will become light for you forever, and your God will be your splendor.

Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not be withdrawn; for Yahweh will be your light forever, and the days of your mourning will be completed.

And your people, all of them righteous, will occupy the land forever, the shoot of my planting, the work of my hands, so that I may be glorified.

The small one will become a thousand, and the little one a mighty nation; I am Yahweh; in its time I will hasten it.
