Ho, everyone who is thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no silver, come, buy grain and eat! Come, buy grain without silver and without price — wine and milk.
Why do you weigh out silver for what is not food, and your toil for what does not satisfy? Listen closely to me and eat what is good, and let your being delight in fatness.
Stretch out your ear and come to me; listen, and your being will live, and I will cut for you a covenant forever, the reliable loyal love of David.
Behold, I set him as a witness to the peoples, a ruler and commander of the peoples.
Behold, a nation you do not know you will call, and a nation that has not known you will run to you for the sake of Yahweh your God, and for the holy one of Israel, for he has adorned you.
Inquire of Yahweh while he is found; call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the man of iniquity his thoughts, and let him return to Yahweh, and he will show him compassion, and to our God, for he will multiply forgiveness.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, the utterance of Yahweh.
For as the skies are high above the land, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain and the snow come down from the skies and do not go back there until they have drenched the land, and made it bear and sprout, and given seed to the sower and food to the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but it will do what I took delight in, and it will succeed in what I sent it for.
For in gladness you will go out and in wholeness you will be led; the mountains and the hills will break forth before you in a ringing cry, and all the trees of the field will clap their palms.
Instead of the thornbush a cypress will come up, and instead of the brier a myrtle will come up; and it will become a name for Yahweh, a sign forever that will not be cut off.
