Isaiah43

And now, this is what Yahweh says, he who created you, O Jacob, and he who formed you, O Israel: Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you; when you walk in fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.

For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your deliverer; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in place of you.

Since you have been precious in my eyes, you are honored, and I have loved you; so I give man in place of you, and peoples in place of your being.

Do not be afraid, for I am with you; from the sunrise I will bring your seed, and from the sunset I will gather you.

I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not hold back; bring my sons from far away and my daughters from the end of the land,

all who are called by my name, whom I created for my weightiness, whom I formed, yes, whom I made.

Bring out the people who are blind, though there are eyes, and the deaf, though they have ears.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and make us hear the first things? Let them give their witnesses, that they may be in the right; or let them hear and say, It is sure.

You are my witnesses, the utterance of Yahweh, and my servant whom I chose, so that you may know and believe me and discern that I am he: before me no god was formed, and after me there will not be one.

I, I am Yahweh, and apart from me there is no deliverer.

I declared, and I saved, and I made it heard, when there was no foreigner among you; and you are my witnesses, the utterance of Yahweh; and I am God.

Also from the day I am he, and there is no one who delivers from my hand; I act, and who can revoke it?

This is what Yahweh says, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down as fugitives all of them, and the Chaldeans in the ships of their ringing cry.

I am Yahweh, your holy one, the creator of Israel, your king.

This is what Yahweh says, who sets a way in the sea, and a path in the fierce waters,

who brought out chariot and horse, army and the strong together; they lie down, they do not rise, they are snuffed out, like a wick they are quenched.

Do not remember the first things, and do not consider the ancient things.

Look, I am making a new thing; now it sprouts. Do you not know it? Even I will put a way in the wilderness, rivers in the wasteland.

The animals of the field will honor me, the jackals and the daughters of the ostrich; for I have put waters in the wilderness, rivers in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,

the people whom I formed for myself, they will recount my praises.

And you did not call on me, O Jacob, for you grew weary of me, O Israel.

You did not bring me the sheep of your burnt offerings, and with your sacrifices you did not honor me; I did not make you labor with a grain offering, and I did not make you weary with frankincense.

You did not buy me a fragrant reed with silver, and with the fat of your sacrifices you did not saturate me; instead you made me labor with your sins, you made me weary with your guilt.

I, I am he who wipes out your transgressions for my own sake, and your sins I will not remember.

Remind me; let us enter into judgment together; recount, you, so that you may be in the right.

Your first father sinned, and your interpreters rebelled against me.

And I profaned the officials of the holy place, and I gave Jacob over to doom and Israel to taunts.
