Isaiah26

On that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; he sets deliverance as walls and a rampart.

Open wide the gates, so that a righteous nation may enter, one that keeps faithfulness.

The upheld inclination you will keep in wholeness, in wholeness, because it trusts in you.

Trust in Yahweh forever, for in Yahweh, Yahweh, is a rock of the ages.

For he has laid low the dwellers of the height, the city set on high; he brings it low, he brings it low to the land, he makes it touch down to the dust.

A foot tramples it, the feet of the afflicted, the tread of the poor.

The way for the righteous is level; O upright one, you make level the track of the righteous.

Also in the way of your justice, Yahweh, we have waited for you; the longing of the being is for your name and for your remembrance.

My being has desired you in the night; also my breath within me seeks you early; for when your justice is for the land, the dwellers of the world learn righteousness.

Though the wicked is shown favor, he does not learn righteousness; in the land of straightness he acts wrongfully and does not see the majesty of Yahweh.

Yahweh, your hand is high, they do not see; they will behold the zeal for the people and be ashamed; also the fire of your adversaries will eat them.

Yahweh, you will set wholeness for us; for indeed all our works you have done for us.

Yahweh our God, lords besides you have ruled over us; only by you do we bring to remembrance your name.

The dead do not live, the shades do not rise; therefore you visited and wiped them out, and you made all remembrance of them perish.

You have added to the nation, Yahweh, you have added to the nation; you have been honored; you have put far away all the ends of the land.

Yahweh, in the tight place they sought you; they poured out a whisper when your discipline was on them.

Like a pregnant woman who draws near to giving birth, she writhes, she cries out in her labor-pains; so we were before your face, Yahweh.

We were pregnant, we writhed, as if we bore wind; we do not bring about deliverances in the land, and the dwellers of the world do not fall.

Your dead will live; my corpse, they will rise. Awake and give a ringing cry, you who dwell in the dust! For your dew is a dew of lights, and the land will make the shades fall.

Go, my people, enter your rooms, and shut your door behind you; hide for a little moment, until the indignation passes by.

For look, Yahweh is going out from his place to visit the guilt of the dwellers of the land upon them; and the land will uncover her blood and will no longer cover over her slain.
