Isaiah2

The word that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

And it will be in the latter end of the days that the mountain of the house of Yahweh will be established at the head of the mountains and lifted up above the hills, and all the nations will stream to it.

And many peoples will go and say: Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob, so that he may teach us some of his ways and we may walk in his paths; for from Zion instruction will go out, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.

And he will judge between the nations, and he will decide for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning-knives; nation will not lift up sword against nation, and they will not learn war any more.

O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.

For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob; for they are full from the east, and practice magic like the Philistines, and clap hands with the children of foreigners.

And his land is filled with silver and gold, and there is no end to his treasuries; and his land is filled with horses, and there is no end to his chariots.

And his land is filled with idols; they will bow down to the work of his hands, to what his fingers have made.

And man is bowed down, and each man is brought low, and you must not forgive them.

Go into the rock and hide yourself in the dust, from the face of the fear of Yahweh and from the splendor of his majesty.

The eyes of man's haughtiness will be brought low, and the pride of men will be bowed down; and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.

For Yahweh of hosts has a day over all the arrogant and high, and over all that is lifted up, and will be brought low.

And over all the cedars of Lebanon, the high ones and the lifted up; and over all the oaks of Bashan.

And over all the high mountains, and over all the lifted-up hills.

And over every high tower, and over every fortified wall.

And over all the ships of Tarshish, and over all the conspicuous, precious things.

And the haughtiness of man will be bowed down, and the pride of men will be brought low; and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.

And the idols will entirely pass away.

And they will go into the caves of the rocks and into the holes of the dust, from the face of the fear of Yahweh and from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to make the land tremble.

On that day mankind will throw away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made for themselves to bow down to, to the moles and the bats.

To go into the crevices of the rocks and into the clefts of the crags, from the face of the fear of Yahweh and from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to make the land tremble.

Cease for yourselves from the man whose breath is in his nostril, for how is he reckoned?
