Isaiah11

A branch will go out from the stump of Jesse, and a shoot from his roots will bear fruit.

And the breath of Yahweh will settle on him — a breath of wisdom and understanding, a breath of counsel and might, a breath of knowledge and the fear of Yahweh.

And he will breathe in the fear of Yahweh; and not by the sight of his eyes will he judge, and not by the hearing of his ears will he decide.

He will judge the poor in righteousness, and decide with uprightness for the humble of the land; he will strike the land with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he will put to death the wicked.

Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and steadiness the belt of his loins.

The wolf will sojourn with the lamb, and the leopard will crouch with the kid; the calf and the young lion and the fatling will be together, and a small boy will lead them.

The cow and the bear will graze together, their young ones will crouch; and the lion, like the ox, will eat straw.

The suckling will delight over the hole of the cobra, and over the opening of the viper a weaned child will stretch out his hand.

They will not do harm and will not ruin on all my holy mountain, for the land will be full of the knowledge of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea.

And it will happen in that day: the root of Jesse, who stands as a banner for the peoples, to him the nations will seek; and his resting place will be weightiness.

And it will happen in that day: the Lord will again, a second time, set his hand to acquire the remnant of his people who remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.

He will lift up a banner for the nations, and gather the banished ones of Israel, and the scattered ones of Judah he will gather together from the four wings of the land.

The jealousy of Ephraim will depart, and the ones who press hard on Judah will be cut off; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, and Judah will not press hard on Ephraim.

They will fly on the shoulder of the Philistines toward the sea; together they will plunder the people of the east; Edom and Moab will be the stretching out of their hand, and the people of Ammon will be their subjects.

Yahweh will put under the ban the tongue of the sea of Egypt, and will wave his hand over the River with the scorching heat of his wind; he will strike it into seven wadis, and make them walk in sandals.

And there will be a highway for the remnant of his people who remain from Assyria, just as there was for Israel in the day of his going up from the land of Egypt.
