Hosea5

Hear this, priests; pay attention, house of Israel; house of the king, give ear! For the justice belongs to you. For you have been a trap at Mizpah and a net spread out over Tabor.

And the rebels have made deep slaughter, but I am discipline for all of them.

I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now you have prostituted yourself, O Ephraim; Israel has defiled itself.

Their deeds will not let them return to their God, for a spirit of whoredoms is in their midst, and they have not known Yahweh.

And the pride of Israel testifies to his face; Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their guilt, and Judah has also stumbled with them.

With their flocks and with their herds they will go to seek Yahweh, but they will not find him; he has pulled himself away from them.

They have betrayed Yahweh, for they have borne foreign children; now a month will devour them along with their portions.

Blow the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah; sound the alarm at Beth Aven: after you, O Benjamin!

Ephraim will become a desolation on the day of rebuke; among the tribes of Israel I have made known what is sure.

The officials of Judah have become like those who move a boundary; I will pour out my overflowing wrath on them like water.

Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in justice, for he was determined to go after a command.

And I am like the moth to Ephraim, and like rot to the house of Judah.

And Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound; and Ephraim went to Assyria and sent to King Jareb, but he cannot heal you, and the wound will not go away from you.

For I am like a lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to the house of Judah; I, even I, will tear to pieces and go away; I will carry off, and there is no deliverer.

I will go, I will return to my place, until they are held guilty and seek my face; in their distress they will seek me early.
