Hebrews2

Because of this it behooves us to give heed more abundantly to the things we have heard, otherwise we may drift away.

For if the word having been spoken through messengers was unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense,

how will we ourselves escape, having neglected such a great salvation? which, having received a commencement, declaring through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard,

God bearing witness together with them by signs and by wonders and by various miracles and by distributions of the Holy Spirit according to His will.

For not to messengers did He subject the world which is coming, concerning which we are speaking;

but someone has testified somewhere, saying: What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him?

You made him a little lower than the messengers; with glory and with honor You crowned him, and You appointed him upon the works of Your hands;

all things You have put in subjection under his feet. For in subjecting all things to him, He left no thing to him unsubject; but at present we do not yet see all things subjected to Him.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the messengers, crowned with glory and with honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the favor of God He may taste death for everyone.

For it was fitting to Him, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, having brought many sons to glory, to make perfect the archetype of their salvation through sufferings.

For both the One setting apart and those being sanctified are all of one; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers,

saying: I will declare Your name to my brothers, in the midst of the congregation I will sing Your praises.

And again: I will be already trusting in Him. And again: Behold, I myself and the children whom God has given to Me.

Since therefore the children have partaken of blood and of flesh, He himself likewise also took part in the same things, so that through His death He may destroy the one holding the power of death, that is, the accuser,

and may set free those, as many as by fear of death through all their times to live were subject to slavery.

For surely not somewhere does He help the messengers, but He helps the seed of Abraham.

Therefore it was necessary in all things to be made like His brothers, so that He may become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

For in that He Himself has suffered, when He had been tempted, He is able to help those being tempted.
