Hebrews10

For the law, having a shadow of the coming good things, not themselves the form of the things, can never, with the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continuously, perfect those drawing near.

Otherwise, would they not have ceased being offered, because those serving, once cleansed, would no longer have any conscience of sins?

But in these there is a reminder of sins every year.

For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and of goats to take away sins.

Therefore, coming into the world, He says: Sacrifice and offering You have not desired, but a body You have prepared for me.

Burnt offerings and offerings for sin You have not delighted in.

Then I said, Behold, I have come — in the scroll of the book it has been written of me — to do, O God, your will.

Saying above that sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and offerings for sin You have not desired nor delighted in, which are offered according to the Law,

then He has said, Behold, I have come to do, of God, your will. He takes away the first that He may establish the second.

By that will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus the Anointed One once for all.

And indeed every priest has stood every day ministering and repeatedly offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

But this one, having offered one sacrifice for sins for perpetuity, sat down at the right hand of God,

henceforth awaiting until his enemies are placed as a footstool for his feet.

For by one offering He has perfected for all time those being sanctified.

Now the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after having said:

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, putting my laws into their hearts and into their mind I will inscribe them;

and their sins and their lawless acts I will certainly not remember any more.

Now where forgiveness of these is, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Therefore, brothers, having confidence for the entering to the Holy Places by the blood of Jesus,

which He dedicated for us, a new and living way through the veil, that is, through his flesh,

and having a great priest over the house of God,

we may draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of trust, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our body washed with clean water.

We may hold fast firmly to the confession of our hope, for the One having promised is faithful,

And let us consider one another, with a view to stirring up love and good works,

not forsaking the assembling together of ourselves, even as is the custom with some, but encouraging one another, and so much more as much as you see the Day drawing near.

For if we sin willingly after we receive the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment and fury of fire being about to devour the adversaries.

When anyone had set aside the law of Moses, he dies without mercies on the basis of two or three witnesses.

How much worse punishment, think you, will he deserve, the one who had trampled upon the Son of God and had esteemed the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified as ordinary and had insulted the Spirit of favor?

For we know the One who said, Vengeance is mine, I myself will repay, says the Lord; and again, the Lord will judge his people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

But remember the former days, in which, when you had been enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings,

this indeed being made a spectacle both by revilings and by tribulations, and this having become partners of those thus passing through them;

for both you sympathized with the prisoners and you accepted the plundering of your possessions with joy, knowing yourselves to have a better and abiding possession in the heavens.

Therefore, do not throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.

For of endurance you have need, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

For yet a very little while, the One who comes will come and will not delay.

But my righteous one will live by trust; and if he shall shrink back, my being takes no pleasure in him.

But we ourselves are not of those drawing back to destruction, but of trust to the preserving of the being.
