Haggai2

In the seventh, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of Yahweh was in the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:

Say to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, the governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak the great priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying:

Who among you is left that saw this house in its first weightiness? And what do you see it now? Is it not, as it is, like nothing in your eyes?

And now be strong, O Zerubbabel, the utterance of Yahweh; and be strong, O Joshua the son of Jehozadak the great priest; and be strong, all the people of the land, the utterance of Yahweh; and make, for I am with you, the utterance of Yahweh of hosts.

The word which I cut with you when you went forth from Egypt, and my breath stands in your midst; do not fear.

For thus said Yahweh of hosts: Again, one little while it is, and I will shake the skies and the land and the sea and the dry ground.

And I will shake all the nations, and the finest of all the nations will come, and I will fill this house with weightiness, said Yahweh of hosts.

The silver is mine and the gold is mine, the utterance of Yahweh of hosts.

Great will be the weightiness of this house, the last more than the first, said Yahweh of hosts; and in this place I will give wholeness, the utterance of Yahweh of hosts.

On the twenty-fourth of the ninth, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh was to Haggai the prophet, saying:

Thus said Yahweh of hosts: Inquire of the priests for instruction, saying:

Behold, if a man carries the flesh of holiness in the wing of his garment, and touches with his wing the food, or the stew, or the wine, or the oil, or any food, will it be set apart? And the priests answered and they said, No.

Then Haggai said: If a living being unclean of the dead touches any of these, will it be defiled? And the priests answered and they said, It will be defiled.

Then Haggai answered and said: So is this people, and so is this nation before my face, the utterance of Yahweh; and so is all the work of their hands; and what they bring near there, it is unclean.

And now put your heart, from this day and above, from before stone was put to stone in the temple of Yahweh.

From their being, one came to a pile of twenty, and there was ten; he came to the presses to bare out fifty from the wine-press, and there was twenty.

I struck you with the blight and with the mildew and with the hail, all the work of your hands; and there was no one among you to me, the utterance of Yahweh.

Put your heart, from this day and above, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth, from the day which the temple of Yahweh was founded, put your heart.

Is the seed yet in the granary? And the vine and the fig and the pomegranate and the olive tree have not lifted up. From this day I will bless.

And the word of Yahweh was second to Haggai, on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying:

Say to Zerubbabel the governor of Judah, saying: I will shake the skies and the land.

And I will turn the throne of the kingdoms, and I will wipe out the might of the kingdom of the nations; and I will turn the chariot and her riders, and the horses and their riders will come down, every man by the sword of his brother.

On that day, the utterance of Yahweh of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel my slave, the utterance of Yahweh, and I will set you as the seal, for I have chosen you, the utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
