God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them: Be fruitful and multiply and fill the land.
Fear of you and dread of you will be on every beast of the land, and on every bird of the skies, and on everything that creeps on the ground, and on all the fish of the sea; into your hand they are given.
Every moving thing that lives will be food for you; like the green grass, I give you everything.
Only flesh with its being, its blood, you must not eat.
But I will seek your blood for your living ones; from the hand of every animal I will seek it, and from the hand of humankind, from the hand of each man's brother, I will seek the being of humankind.
Whoever sheds the blood of humankind, by humankind his blood will be shed; for in the image of God he made humankind.
And you, be fruitful and multiply; swarm in the land and multiply in it.
God said to Noah and to his sons with him, saying:
As for me, here I am setting up my covenant with you and with your seed after you.
and with every living being that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the land with you, from all those that came out of the ark, to every beast of the land.
I will set up my covenant with you: never again will all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again will there be a flood to ruin the land.
God said: This is the sign of the covenant that I am setting between me and between you and between every living being that is with you, for generations, forever.
My bow I have set in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and between the land.
And it will be, when I bring cloud over the land, that the bow will be seen in the cloud.
And I will remember my covenant that is between me and between you and between every living being among all flesh, and the waters will never again become a flood to ruin all flesh.
The bow will be in the cloud, and I will see it, to remember the covenant forever between God and between every living being among all flesh that is on the land.
God said to Noah: This is the sign of the covenant that I have set up between me and between all flesh that is on the land.
The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and Ham, he was the father of Canaan.
These three were the sons of Noah, and from these all the land was scattered.
Noah, a man of the ground, began and planted a vineyard.
He drank some of the wine and became drunk, and he uncovered himself in the middle of his tent.
Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
Shem and Japheth took the garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backwards and covered their father's nakedness; their faces were turned backwards; and their father's nakedness they did not see.
Noah woke from his wine and knew what his youngest son had done to him.
And he said: Cursed be Canaan; a slave of slaves he will be to his brothers.
And he said: Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Shem; and let Canaan be a slave to them.
May God give Japheth room, and may he dwell in the tents of Shem; and let Canaan be a slave to them.
Noah lived three hundred and fifty years after the flood.
All the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died.
