Genesis8

God remembered Noah and every living creature and all the livestock that were with him in the ark, and God made a wind pass over the land, and the waters abated.

The springs of the deep and the lattice windows of the skies were shut up, and the rain from the skies was held back.

The waters turned back from the land, going and returning; and the waters decreased by the end of a hundred and fifty days.

The ark settled in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

The waters kept going and decreasing until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the heads of the mountains were seen.

It came about, at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark that he had made.

He sent out the raven, and it kept going out and returning until the waters had dried up from the land.

He sent out the dove from beside him, to see whether the waters had abated from the face of the ground.

The dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him into the ark, for water was over the face of all the land; so he stretched out his hand and took her, and brought her to him into the ark.

He waited again another seven days, and once more sent out the dove from the ark.

The dove came to him at the time of evening, and there in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf; and Noah knew that the waters had abated from the land.

He waited again another seven days, and he sent out the dove; and she did not return to him again.

It came about in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, that the waters dried up from the land; and Noah removed the covering of the ark and saw: there, the face of the ground was dry.

In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the land was dry.

God spoke to Noah, saying:

Go out from the ark, you, and your wife, and your sons, and the wives of your sons, with you.

Bring out with you every living creature that is with you, of all flesh: among the birds, among the livestock, and among every creeping thing that creeps on the land; and let them swarm on the land, and be fruitful and multiply on the land.

Noah went out, and his sons, and his wife, and the wives of his sons with him.

Every living creature, every creeping thing, and every bird, all that crept on the land, went out by their families from the ark.

Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took some of every clean animal of the livestock and some of every clean bird, and brought up burnt offerings on the altar.

Yahweh smelled the soothing odor, and Yahweh said in his heart, I will never again curse the ground on account of humankind, for the inclination of the heart of humankind is evil from his youth; and I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.

Still, through all the days of the land, seed and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will not cease.
