And Yahweh said to Noah, go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before my face in this generation.
Of all the clean livestock you will take for yourself seven by seven, a male and his female; and of the livestock that is not clean, two, a male and his female.
Also of the bird of the skies, seven by seven, male and female, to keep alive seed over the face of all the land.
For in seven more days, I am about to make it rain on the land forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe out every living thing that I have made from the face of the ground.
And Noah did according to all that Yahweh commanded him.
Now Noah was six hundred years old, and the flood was waters upon the land.
And Noah went, and his sons and his wife and the wives of his sons with him, into the ark, from the face of the waters of the flood.
Of the clean livestock, and of the livestock that is not clean, and of the bird, and everything that crept on the ground,
Two by two they came to Noah, into the ark, male and female, just as God had commanded Noah.
And it came about that after the seven days the waters of the flood were upon the land.
In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the springs of the great deep were split open, and the windows of the skies were opened.
And the rain was upon the land forty days and forty nights.
On this very day, Noah went in, and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and the wife of Noah, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark.
They, and every living creature by its kind, and all the livestock by its kind, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the land by its kind, and every bird by its kind, every little bird of every wing.
And they came to Noah, into the ark, two by two, of all flesh in which was the breath of life.
Those who came, male and female of all flesh, came as God had commanded him; and Yahweh closed up behind him.
The flood was upon the land forty days, and the waters multiplied and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the land.
The waters prevailed and multiplied exceedingly over the land, and the ark went over the face of the waters.
And the waters prevailed greatly and exceedingly over the land, and all the high mountains that were under all the skies were covered.
Fifteen cubits upward the waters prevailed, and the mountains were covered.
All flesh that creeps on the land expired: among the birds, among the livestock, among the living creatures, among all the swarmers that swarm on the land, and every human.
Everything in whose nostrils was the breath, the breath of life, all that was on the dry ground, died.
He wiped out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, from human to livestock, to creeping things, and to the birds of the skies; they were wiped out from the land. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
The waters prevailed over the land a hundred and fifty days.
