Galatians1

Paul, a sent one — not from men nor through man, but through Jesus the Anointed One and God the Father, the One who raised Him out from the dead —

and all the brothers with me, to the assemblies of Galatia:

Favor to you and wholeness from God our Father and of the Lord Jesus the Anointed One,

the One who gave Himself for our sins, so that He may deliver us out of the present evil age, which has come, according to the will of God and our Father,

to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

I am astonished that so soon you are deserting from the One who called you in the favor of the Anointed One, to a different good news —

which is not another, except that there are some who are troubling you and desiring to pervert the good news of the Anointed One.

But even if we ourselves, or a messenger out of heaven, should bring good news to you contrary to what we announced as good news to you, accursed he should be.

As we have said before, even now I say again, if anyone is bringing good news to you contrary to what you received, accursed he should be.

For do I presently seek the approval of men, or of God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I were yet pleasing men, a slave of the Anointed One I would not then be.

For I make known to you, brothers, that the good news announced by me is not according to man;

for neither did I myself receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but through a revelation of Jesus the Anointed One.

For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, that beyond exceeding measure I was persecuting the assembly of God and was destroying it;

and I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being more abundantly zealous of my fathers' traditions.

When, however, God — the One who selected me from my mother's womb and called me through his favor — was pleased

to reveal his Son in me, that I may proclaim Him as good news among the nations, immediately I did not consult with flesh and blood,

nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the sent ones before me, but I went away into Arabia and again returned to Damascus.

Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to make acquaintance with Cephas, and I remained with him fifteen days;

however, none other of the sent ones did I see, except James the brother of the Lord.

Now in what I write to you, behold, before God, that I do not lie.

Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

and I was unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea that are in the Anointed One,

only they were hearing that the one formerly persecuting us is now bringing good news of the trust which once he was destroying;

and they were glorifying God in me.
