When the seventh month touched, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered as one man to Jerusalem.
Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose, and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and his brothers, and they built the altar of the God of Israel, to bring up over it burnt offerings, as what is written in the instruction of Moses the man of God.
They established the altar over its stands, for the dread over them was from the peoples of the lands, and they brought up over it burnt offerings to Yahweh, burnt offerings to the morning and to the evening.
They made the festival of the shelters, as what is written, and the burnt offering of the day in the day in the number, after the custom of the word of the day in its day.
And after that, the burnt offering of the continually, and to the months, and to all the appointed times of Yahweh that are set apart, and to all who offered a free offering to Yahweh.
From the first day to the seventh month they began to bring up burnt offerings to Yahweh, and the temple of Yahweh was not founded.
They set silver to the masons and to the engravers, and food and feast and oil to the Sidonians and to the Tyrians, to bring the wood of the cedars from the Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, as the permission of Cyrus the king of Persia over them.
And in the second year of their coming to the house of God to Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak and the remnant of their brothers the priests and the Levites and all those who come from the prisoners to Jerusalem pierced; and they set the Levites from the son of twenty years and above as choirmaster over the work of the house of Yahweh.
Jeshua, his children and his brothers, Kadmiel and his children, the children of Judah stood as one as choirmaster over those who did the work in the house of God; the children of Henadad, their children and their brothers the Levites.
When those who build founded the temple of Yahweh, the priests set clothed with trumpets, and the Levites the children of Asaph with the cymbals, to praise Yahweh over the hands of David the king of Israel.
They answered in praise and in praise to Yahweh, for his loyal love is good, to the forever over Israel; and all the people blew an alarm, a great shout, in praise to Yahweh, over Yahweh founded the house.
And great ones from the priests and the Levites and the head of the old fathers, who saw the first house in its founding, the house in their eyes, wept in a great sound; and great in the shout in the gladness to raise a sound.
And there is no one of the people who recognized the sound of the shout of the gladness to the sound of the weeping of the people, for the people blew an alarm, a great shout, and the sound was heard from afar.
