Ezekiel43

Then he led me to the gate, the gate that faced toward the east.

And behold, the weightiness of the God of Israel was coming from the direction of the east; and his sound was like the sound of many waters, and the land shone with his weightiness.

And the look of the vision that I saw was like the vision that I saw when I came to ruin the city, and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Kebar; and I fell on my face.

And the weightiness of Yahweh came into the house by way of the gate that faced toward the east.

And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the weightiness of Yahweh filled the house.

And I heard someone speaking to me from the house, while a man was standing beside me.

He said to me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell there in the midst of the children of Israel forever. And the house of Israel will no longer defile my holy name, they and their kings, by their unfaithfulness and by the corpses of their kings at their high places.

When they put their threshold beside my threshold and their doorpost beside my doorpost, with the wall between me and between them, they defiled my holy name by their abominations that they did; so I put an end to them in my anger.

Now let them put far away from me their unfaithfulness and the corpses of their kings, and I will dwell in their midst forever.

You, son of man, declare the house to the house of Israel, so that they may be ashamed of their guilt; and let them measure the proportions.

And if they are ashamed of all which they made, the house and its store and its starting and its movements and all its design and the design and all its statute and all its design and all its instruction, make known to them; and write it to their eyes, its design, that they may keep all and all its statute, and make them.

This is the instruction of the house: on the top of the mountain, all its boundary all around is a most holy place. Behold, this is the instruction of the house.

And these are the measurements of the altar in cubits (a cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth): the bosom is a cubit, and a cubit wide, and its boundary at its edge all around is one span; and this is the back of the altar.

And from the bosom of the land up to the lower ledge is two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the small ledge up to the great ledge is four cubits, and the breadth one cubit.

And the altar-hearth was four cubits, and from the altar-hearth upward there were four horns.

And the altar-hearth was twelve in length by twelve in breadth, squared to its four sides.

And the ledge was fourteen in length by fourteen in breadth, to its four sides; the boundary around it was half a cubit, and its bosom a cubit all around; and its steps faced east.

He said to me, Son of man, thus says the Adonai Yahweh: These are the statutes of the altar on the day it is made, to offer up on it a burnt offering and to sprinkle blood on it.

And you will give to the priests, the Levites, who are of the offspring of Zadok and are near to me, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh, to serve me, a bull, a young one of the herd, as a sin offering.

And you will take some of its blood and put it on its four horns, and on the four corners of the ledge, and on the boundary all around; and you will purify it from sin and you will cover it.

And you will take the bull of the sin offering, and one will burn it at the appointed place of the house, outside the sanctuary.

And on the second day you will bring near a he-goat of the goats, unblemished, for a sin offering; and they will purify the altar from sin, as they purified it from sin with the bull.

When you have finished purifying from sin, you will bring near a young bull, a son of the herd, unblemished, and a ram from the flock, unblemished.

And you will bring them near before the face of Yahweh, and the priests will throw salt on them and offer them up as a burnt offering to Yahweh.

Seven days you will make a he-goat as a sin offering each day; and a young bull, a son of the herd, and a ram from the flock, unblemished, they will make.

Seven days they will cover the altar and purify it, and fill its hands.

And they will complete the days; and it will be that on the eighth day and onward the priests will make your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on the altar, and I will accept you, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh.
