Ezekiel39

And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say: Like this the Adonai Yahweh said: Look, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.

I will turn you around, lead you on, and bring you up from the far flanks of the north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel.

I will strike your bow from your left hand, and make your arrows fall from your right hand.

On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I have given you to the birds of prey, to every winged bird, and to the animals of the field, for food.

On the face of the field you will fall, for I have spoken, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh.

And I will send fire on Magog, and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they will know that I am Yahweh.

And I will make my holy name known among my people Israel, and I will not let my holy name be profaned any more; and the nations will know that I am Yahweh, holy in Israel.

Look, it is coming, and it will come about, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh; it is the day of which I have spoken.

And those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out, and kindle, and light a fire with weapons, shield and large shield, bow and arrows, hand staff and spear; and they will kindle a fire with them for seven years.

They will not carry wood from the field, nor will they cut any from the forests, for with the weapons they will kindle fire; and they will plunder those who plundered them, and take as spoil those who took them as spoil, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh.

And on that day I will give Gog a place there, a burial site in Israel, the valley of those who pass through, east of the sea, and it will stop up those who pass through; and there they will bury Gog and all his multitude, and they will call it the valley of Hamon-Gog.

And the house of Israel will bury them, so as to cleanse the land, for seven months.

And all the people of the land will bury them, and it will become a name for them, the day I am honored, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh.

And they will set apart men on continual duty, passing through the land, burying those who pass through, those who remain on the face of the land, to cleanse it; at the end of seven months they will make a search.

And those who pass through will pass through the land, and when one sees a human bone, he will build a marker beside it, until those who bury have buried it in the valley of Hamon-Gog.

And also the name of the city is Hamonah; and they will cleanse the land.

And you, son of man, like this the Adonai Yahweh said: Say to every winged bird and to every animal of the field: Assemble and come; gather yourselves from all around to my sacrifice which I am sacrificing for you, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, and you will eat flesh and drink blood.

You will eat the flesh of mighty men, and you will drink the blood of the princes of the land: rams, lambs, and goats, bulls, fattened animals of Bashan, all of them.

And you will eat fat until you are full, and drink blood until you are drunk, from my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

And you will be satisfied at my table with horse and chariot, mighty man and every man of war, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh.

And I will set my weightiness among the nations, and all the nations will see my justice which I carried out, and my hand which I have put on them.

And the house of Israel will know that I am Yahweh their God, from that day and beyond.

And the nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their guilt, because they acted unfaithfully against me; so I hid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.

According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I dealt with them, and I hid my face from them.

Therefore thus says the Adonai Yahweh: Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and I will have compassion on all the house of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name.

And they will bear their disgrace and all their unfaithfulness which they committed against me, when they dwell on their ground in security, with no one to terrify them.

In my returning them from the peoples, I gathered them together from the land of their enemies, and I set myself apart in them to the eyes of the great nations.

And they will know that I am Yahweh their God, because I carried them into exile among the nations and will gather them to their own ground, and I will not leave any of them there again.

And I will not hide my face from them again, since I have poured out my spirit on the house of Israel, the utterance of the Adonai Yahweh.
