Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:
On the first day of the first month you shall set up the dwelling of the tent of meeting.
You shall put the chest of the testimony there, and you shall screen over the chest with the curtain.
You shall bring in the table and arrange it in its order; and you shall bring in the lampstand and raise up its lamps.
You shall set the altar of gold for incense in front of the chest of the testimony, and put the screen of the doorway at the dwelling.
You shall set the altar of the burnt offering in front of the doorway of the dwelling of the tent of meeting.
You shall set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water there.
You shall put up the court all around, and set the screen of the gate of the court.
You will take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it; you will set it apart, and all its articles, and it will be holiness.
You shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all its articles; you shall set apart the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.
You shall anoint the basin and its stand, and set apart it.
You shall bring near Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting, and wash them with water.
You clothed Aaron with the garment of the holiness, and anointed him, and set him apart, and he served to me.
And his sons you are to bring near, and clothe them in tunics.
and anoint them as you anointed their father, and they served to me; their anointed was to be to them to the priesthood of the forever, to their generation.
Moses did according to all that Yahweh had commanded him; so he did.
In the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was set up.
Moses set up the tabernacle: he placed its bases, set its boards, put in its bars, and raised its pillars.
He spread out the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent over it, from above, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He took the testimony and put it into the ark, set the poles on the ark, and placed the atonement cover on the ark, from above.
He brought the ark into the tabernacle, set up the curtain of the screen, and covered over the ark of the testimony, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He put the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tabernacle, to the north, outside the curtain.
He laid out on it a row of bread before the face of Yahweh, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He put the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle, to the south.
He lit the lamps before the face of Yahweh, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He put the gold altar in the tent of meeting, in front of the curtain.
He made the incense of spices rise in smoke on it, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He set up the screen of the entrance of the tabernacle.
He put the altar of the burnt offering at the entrance of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered up on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He put the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water there for washing.
Moses and Aaron and his sons would wash their hands and their feet from it;
When they came into the tent of meeting, and when they drew near to the altar, they would wash, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.
He raised the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and put up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
The cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the weightiness of Yahweh filled the tabernacle.
Moses was not able to go into the tent of meeting, for the cloud had settled down over it, and the weightiness of Yahweh had filled the tabernacle.
And when the cloud was lifted up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel would set out, at all their stages.
But if the cloud was not lifted up, they would not set out until the day it was lifted up.
For the cloud of Yahweh was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel, at all their stages.
