Exodus4

And Moses answered and said, But look, they will not believe me, and they will not listen to my voice; for they will say, Yahweh did not appear to you.

And Yahweh said to him, What is this in your hand? And he said, A staff.

And he said, Throw it to the land. And he threw it to the land, and it became a snake; and Moses fled from its face.

And Yahweh said to Moses, Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail. And he stretched out his hand and took hold of it, and it became a staff in his palm.

So that they may believe that Yahweh, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, appeared to you.

And Yahweh said to him again, Bring your hand into your bosom. And he brought his hand into his bosom; and he brought it out, and look, his hand was leprous like snow.

And he said, Return your hand to your bosom. And he returned his hand to his bosom; and he brought it out of his bosom, and look, it had returned like his flesh.

And it will happen, if they will not believe you and will not listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the last sign.

And it will happen, if they will not believe even these two signs and will not listen to your voice, that you will take some of the water of the River and pour it on the dry ground; and it will be that the waters which you will take from the River will become blood on the dry ground.

And Moses said to Yahweh, Pardon me, O Lord, I am not a man of words, neither from yesterday nor from three days ago, nor since you spoke to your servant; for I am heavy of mouth and heavy of tongue.

And Yahweh said to him, Who made a mouth for man? Or who makes the mute, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Is it not I, Yahweh?

And now go, and I will be with your mouth, and I will teach you what you will speak.

And he said, Pardon me, O Lord, please send by the hand of whomever you will send.

And the anger of Yahweh burned against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron your brother the Levite? I know that he himself will surely speak; and also look, he is coming out to meet you, and he will see you and be glad in his heart.

And you will speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do.

And he will speak for you to the people; and it will be that he will be a mouth to you, and you will be to him as God.

And this staff you shall take in your hand, with which you shall make the signs.

And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see whether they are still living. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in wholeness.

And Yahweh said to Moses in Midian, Go, return to Egypt; for all the men who were seeking your living being have died.

And Moses took his wife and his sons, and had them ride on the donkey, and returned toward the land of Egypt; and Moses took the staff of God in his hand.

And Yahweh said to Moses, When you go to return to Egypt, see all the wonders which I have put in your hand, and make them before the face of Pharaoh; but I will make his heart firm, and he will not let go the people.

And you shall say to Pharaoh, This is what Yahweh says, Israel is my son, my firstborn.

And I said to you, Let my son go, that he may serve me; but you refused to let him go. Look, I am about to kill your son, your firstborn.

And it happened on the journey, at the lodging place, that Yahweh met him and sought to put him to death.

And Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin, and made it touch his feet, and said, Surely you are a bridegroom of bloods to me.

So he withdrew from him. Then she said, A bridegroom of bloods, because of the circumcisions.

And Yahweh said to Aaron, Go toward the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went and met him at the mountain of God, and kissed him.

And Moses told Aaron all the words of Yahweh with which he had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.

And Moses and Aaron went and gathered all the elders of the children of Israel.

And Aaron spoke all the words that Yahweh had spoken to Moses, and made the signs before the eyes of the people.

And the people believed; and they heard that Yahweh had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction; and they bowed their heads and bowed down.
