¹And this is the word that you will do for them, to set apart them to serve as priests for me: take one young bull, a son of the herd, and two unblemished rams.

²and the food of unleavened bread, and the cake of unleavened bread with the oil in it, and the wafer of unleavened bread anointed in the oil; of the flour of wheats you will make them.

³And you will put them in one basket, and you will bring them near in the basket, with the young bull and the two rams.

⁴And Aaron and his sons you will bring near to the door of the tent of appointed meeting, and you will wash them in water.

⁵And you will take the garments, and you will clothe Aaron with the tunic, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastpiece, and you will gird him with the waistband of the ephod.

⁶And you will set the turban on his head, and you will put the crown of holiness on the turban.

⁷You will take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.

⁸And his sons you will bring near, and you will clothe them in tunics.

⁹And you will gird them with a sash, Aaron and his sons, and you will bind caps on them; and the priesthood will be theirs by a statute forever. And you will fill the hand of Aaron, and the hand of his sons.

¹⁰You will bring near the bull before the face of the tent of the appointed time, and Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the head of the bull.

¹¹You will slaughter the bull before the face of Yahweh, at the door of the tent of the appointed time.

¹²You will take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and all the blood you will pour out at the base of the altar.

¹³You will take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the lobe on the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and turn them to smoke on the altar.

¹⁴And the flesh of the bull, and its skin, and its dung, you will burn in the fire outside the camp; it is sin.

¹⁵And you will take the one ram, and Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the head of the ram.

¹⁶You will slaughter the ram, take its blood, and sprinkle it on the altar all around.

¹⁷And you will cut up the ram into its pieces, wash its entrails and its legs, and put them on its pieces and on its head.

¹⁸You will turn the whole ram to smoke on the altar. It is a burnt offering to Yahweh, a soothing odor; it is a fire offering to Yahweh.

¹⁹You will take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the head of the ram.

²⁰You will slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on the lobe of the ear of Aaron, and on the lobe of the ear of his sons, the right one; and on the thumb of their hand, the right one; and on the great toe of their foot, the right one; and you will sprinkle the blood on the altar all around.

²¹You will take some of the blood that is on the altar, and some of the anointing oil, and spatter it on Aaron and on his garments, and on his sons and on the garments of his sons with him; and he will be set apart, he and his garments, and his sons and the garments of his sons with him.

²²You will take from the ram the fat, and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the entrails, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and the right leg, for it is a ram of installation.

²³and one round loaf of bread, and one cake of oil bread, and one wafer, from the basket of unleavened bread that is before the face of Yahweh.

²⁴You will put all of it on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons, and wave them as a wave offering before the face of Yahweh.

²⁵You will take them from their hands and turn them to smoke on the altar on top of the burnt offering, as a soothing odor before the face of Yahweh; it is a fire offering to Yahweh.

²⁶You will take the breast from the ram of installation that belongs to Aaron, and wave it as a wave offering before the face of Yahweh; and it will be your portion.

²⁷You will set apart the breast of the wave offering and the leg of the contribution, which was waved and which was offered up, from the ram of installation, from what belongs to Aaron and from what belongs to his sons.

²⁸It will belong to Aaron and to his sons as an allotment forever from the children of Israel, for it is a contribution; and a contribution it will be from the children of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, their contribution to Yahweh.

²⁹And the garment of holiness which belongs to Aaron will be to his sons his after, that they be anointed in them, and that their hand be filled in them.

³⁰For seven days the priest in his place, from among his sons, the one who comes into the tent of the appointed time to serve in the holy place, will wear them.

³¹And you will take the ram of installation and boil its flesh in a place holy.

³²Aaron and his sons will eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that is in the basket, at the door of the tent of the appointed time.

³³They will eat those things by which they were covered over, to fill their hand, to set apart them; but a stranger will not eat, for they are holy.

³⁴And if some of the flesh of the installation and some of the bread is left over until the morning, you will burn what is left over in the fire; it will not be eaten, for it is holy.

³⁵You will do thus for Aaron and for his sons, according to all that I have commanded you; seven days you will fill their hand.

³⁶And a bull as a sin offering you will offer each day for the atonements; and you will purify the altar when you cover over it, and you will anoint it to set it apart.

³⁷Seven days you will cover over the altar and set it apart; and the altar will be most holy, and everything that touches the altar will be set apart.

³⁸And this is what you will offer on the altar: lambs a year old, two a day, continually.

³⁹The one lamb you will offer in the morning, and the second lamb you will offer at dusk.

⁴⁰and a tenth of fine flour mixed with beaten oil, a quarter of a hin, and a drink offering, a quarter of a hin of wine, for the one lamb.

⁴¹The second lamb you will make between the evenings, like the morning grain offering, and like its drink offering you will make for it, a soothing scent, a fire offering to Yahweh.

⁴²A continual burnt offering for your generations, at the door of the tent of appointed meeting, before the face of Yahweh, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there.

⁴³I will meet there with the children of Israel, and it will be set apart by my weightiness.

⁴⁴I will set apart the tent of appointed meeting and the altar; and Aaron and his sons I will set apart to act as priests for me.

⁴⁵I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel, and I will be God to them.

⁴⁶And they will know that I, Yahweh, am their God, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, so that I might dwell in their midst; I am Yahweh their God.
