And to Moses he said, Come up to Yahweh, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy from the elder of Israel, and you bowed down from afar.
And Moses to his alone was to Yahweh, and they will not be, and the people will not come up with him.
And Moses came and recounted to the people all the words of Yahweh and all the justices; and all the people answered with one voice and said, All the words that Yahweh has spoken we will do.
And Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh. Then he rose early in the morning and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.
And he sent the young men of the children of Israel, and they offered up burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh, young bulls.
And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
And he took the scroll of the covenant and read it aloud in the ears of the people, and they said, All that Yahweh has spoken we will do, and we will listen.
And Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people and said, Look, the blood of the covenant that Yahweh has cut with you concerning all these words.
And Moses went up, and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel.
And they saw the God of Israel, and under his feet was something like the work of a pavement of sapphire, and like the substance of the skies in purity.
But against the nobles of the children of Israel he did not stretch out his hand; they saw God, and ate and drank.
And Yahweh said to Moses, Come up to me on the mountain and be there, and I will give you the tablets of stone, and the instruction and the commandment, which I have written to teach them.
And Moses rose, and Joshua his servant; and Moses went up to the mountain of God.
And to the elders he said, Dwell here for us until we return to you; and look, Aaron and Hur are with you; whoever is master of words, let him draw near to them.
And Moses went up to the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
And the weightiness of Yahweh settled on the mountain of Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and on the seventh day he called to Moses from the middle of the cloud.
And the look of the weightiness of Yahweh was like a fire eating on the head of the mountain, in the eyes of the children of Israel.
And Moses went into the middle of the cloud and went up to the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
