If a man steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it, he will repay five cattle in place of the ox and four of the flock in place of the sheep.
If the thief is found breaking in and is struck and dies, there is no bloodshed for him.
If the sun has risen on him, there is bloodshed for him. He will surely repay; if he has nothing, and he will be sold for his theft.
If the stolen thing is surely found alive in his hand, from ox to donkey to sheep, he will repay double.
When a man grazes a field or a vineyard, and lets his cattle go so that it grazes in the field of another, he will repay from the best of his field and the best of his vineyard.
When fire breaks out and finds thornbushes, and a stack of sheaves or the standing grain or the field is consumed, the one who kindled the fire will surely repay.
When a man gives to his neighbor silver or articles to keep, and it is stolen from the house of the man, if the thief is found, he will repay double.
If the thief is not found, then the owner of the house will be brought near to God: if he did not stretch out his hand to the property of his neighbor.
Concerning every word of transgression — concerning ox, concerning donkey, concerning sheep, concerning cloak, concerning any lost thing of which one says, 'This is it' — the word of both of them will come to God; the one whom God condemns will repay double to his neighbor.
When a man gives to his neighbor a donkey or an ox or a sheep, and any animal to keep, and it dies or is broken or is taken captive, with no one seeing.
The oath of Yahweh will be between the two of them: if he did not stretch out his hand to the property of his neighbor; and its owner will take it, and he will not repay.
And if it is surely stolen from him, he will repay to its owner.
If it is truly torn apart, he will bring it as a witness; the torn animal he will not repay.
And if a man borrows from his neighbor, and it is broken or dies, its owner not being with it, he will surely make good.
If its owner is with it, he will not repay; if it was hired, it came in for its hire.
And if a man entices a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he will surely pay the bride-price for her, to be his own wife.
If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he will weigh out silver according to the bride-price of virgins.
You will not let a sorceress live.
Anyone who lies with livestock will surely be put to death.
Whoever sacrifices to gods will be put under the ban — except to Yahweh alone.
And you will not maltreat a sojourner, and you will not oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
You will not afflict any widow or fatherless one.
If you truly afflict him — and if he cries out to me at all — I will surely hear his cry.
And my anger will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives will be widows and your sons fatherless.
If you lend silver to my people, to the poor one among you, you will not be like a creditor to him; you will not lay interest on him.
If you ever take your neighbor's cloak in pledge, you must return it to him by sunset.
For it alone is his covering, it is his cloak for his skin — in what will he lie down? And it will be that when he cries out to me, I will hear, for I am gracious.
You will not curse God, nor lay a curse on a chief among your people.
You will not delay your full produce and your juice. The firstborn of your sons you will give to me.
You will do the same with your ox and your flock: seven days it will be with its mother; on the eighth day you will give it to me.
And you will be holy people to me; and you will not eat flesh torn in the field — you will throw it to the dog.
