Esther7

And the king and Haman came to drink with Esther the queen.

And the king said to Esther also on the second day at the feast of wine, What is your petition, Esther the queen? It will be given to you. And what is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, and it will be done.

And Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favor in your eyes, O king, and if it seems good to the king, let my living being be given to me for my petition, and my people for my request.

For we have been sold, I and my people, to be wiped out, to be killed, and to perish. If we had been sold as slaves and female slaves, I would have kept silent, for the enemy is not equal to the king's loss.

And King Ahasuerus spoke up, and said to Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, the one whose heart has filled him to do so?

And Esther said, A man, an opponent and an enemy, this evil Haman! And Haman was terrified before the king and the queen.

And the king rose in his burning rage from the feast of wine into the garden of the palace, but Haman stayed to seek for his living being from Esther the queen, for he saw that harm had been determined against him by the king.

Now the king returned from the garden of the palace to the house of the feast of wine, and Haman was falling on the bed on which Esther was. And the king said, Will he even force the queen with me in the house? The word went out from the mouth of the king, and they covered Haman's face.

And Harbona, one of the eunuchs before the king, said, Also, look: the wood that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good for the king, is standing at the house of Haman, fifty cubits high. And the king said, Hang him on it.

So they hung Haman on the wood that he had prepared for Mordecai, and the king's rage subsided.
