Ephesians6

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Honor your father and mother — which is the first commandment with a promise —

that it may be well with you, and you will be long-lived upon the land.

And you fathers, do not provoke your children, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.

You who are slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart, as to the Anointed One;

not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of the Anointed One, doing the will of God from the heart,

with good will rendering service, as to the Lord and not to men,

knowing that whatever good each one shall do, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.

And you masters, do the same things toward them, giving up the threatening, knowing that the master of both them and you is in the heavens, and there is no partiality with Him.

Henceforth, my brothers, be empowered in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

Put on the complete armor of God, for you to be able to stand against the schemes of the accuser;

because our wrestling is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Because of this, take up the complete armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all things, to stand.

Therefore stand, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

and having shod the feet with the readiness of the good news of wholeness;

besides all, having taken up the shield of trust, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one;

and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

through all times praying with prayer and supplication in every season in the Spirit, and unto this watching with all perseverance and with supplication for all the holy ones,

and also for me, that divine utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, with boldness to make known the mystery of the good news,

for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may be bold, as it behooves me to speak.

That you yourselves may now also know the things concerning me, what I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known all things to you,

whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know the things concerning us, and he may encourage your hearts.

Wholeness to the brothers, and love with trust, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus the Anointed One.

Favor be with all those loving our Lord Jesus the Anointed One in incorruptibility. Amen. To the Ephesians it was written from Rome through Tychicus.
