Ecclesiastes10

Flies of death make the oil of the perfumer stink and bubble up; a little folly outweighs wisdom and weightiness

The heart of the wise is at his right hand, and the heart of the fool at his left

Even on the road, when the fool walks, his heart is lacking, and he says to everyone that he is a fool

If the breath of the ruler rises against you, do not quit your place; for healing lays great sins to rest

There is an evil I have seen under the sun, like an inadvertent error that goes out from before the ruler

Folly is set in many high places, while the rich sit in low estate

I have seen slaves on horses, and officials walking like slaves on the land

One who digs a pit will fall in it, and one who breaks through a wall, a snake will bite him

One who quarries stones will be hurt by them; one who cleaves wood will be endangered by it

If the iron is blunt, and he has not sharpened its edge, then he must apply more strength; but wisdom has the advantage of bringing success

If the snake bites without charming, there is no advantage for the master of the tongue

The word of a wise mouth is favor, but the lips of the fool swallow him up

The beginning of the word of his mouth is folly, and the end of his mouth is evil madness

And the fool multiplies words; the person does not know what will be, and what will be after him, who will tell him?

The toil of fools wearies him who does not know how to go to the city.

Woe to you, land, whose king is a boy, and whose officials eat in the morning.

Blessed are you, land, whose king is a son of nobles, and whose officials eat at the proper time, for strength and not for drinking.

Through sluggishness the beam-work sinks, and through the sinking of the hands the house drips.

For laughter they make food, and wine makes glad life, and money answers all things.

Even in your mind do not curse a king, and in the chambers of your bed do not curse a rich man, for a bird of the skies will cause the sound to go, and the owner of wings will tell the word.
