Deuteronomy6

And this is the commandment, the statutes and the justices that Yahweh your God commanded to teach you, so as to do them in the land to which you are crossing over to take possession of it.

so that you may fear Yahweh your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments that I am commanding you, you and your son and your son's son, all the days of your life, and so that your days may grow long.

Hear, O Israel, and keep to doing them, so that it may go well for you and you may multiply greatly, just as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, spoke to you: a land flowing with milk and honey.

Hear, Israel: Yahweh our God, Yahweh is one.

You are to love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your strength.

And these words that I am commanding you today shall be on your heart.

You shall sharpen them into your sons, and speak of them when you dwell in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you rise.

You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

And it shall be, when Yahweh your God brings you into the land that he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and good cities that you did not build,

and houses full of every good thing that you did not fill, and cisterns dug out that you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant, and you shall eat and be satisfied.

Guard yourself, lest you forget Yahweh, who brought you out from the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves.

Yahweh your God you shall fear, and him you shall serve, and by his name you shall swear.

You shall not walk after other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who are around you,

for Yahweh your God is a jealous God in your midst, lest the anger of Yahweh your God burn against you, and he destroy you from upon the face of the ground.

You shall not test Yahweh your God, as you tested him at Massah.

You must surely keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, his testimonies and his statutes, which he commanded you.

You shall do the right and the good in the eyes of Yahweh, so that it may go well for you, and you may go in and take possession of the good land that Yahweh swore to your fathers,

to drive out all your enemies from your face, as Yahweh has spoken.

When your son asks you in time to come, saying, What are the testimonies, the statutes and the justices that Yahweh our God commanded you?

You shall say to your son, We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt, and Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

And Yahweh set signs and wonders, great and painful, on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his household, before our eyes.

And he brought out us from there, so that he might bring in us, to give us the land that he swore to our fathers.

And Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good all the days, to keep us alive, as at this day.

And righteousness will belong to us if we keep to doing all this commandment before the face of Yahweh our God, as he commanded us.
