And this is the blessing with which Moses, the man of God, blessed the children of Israel before his death.
And he said: Yahweh came from Sinai, and dawned from Seir for them; he shone out from the mountain of Paran, and came from the holy ten thousands; at his right hand, a fire of law for them.
Yes, he is loving peoples; all his holy ones are in your hand; and they were assembled at your foot; he takes up from your words.
Moses commanded an instruction to us, a possession of the congregation of Jacob.
And a king was in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people gathered themselves together, the tribes of Israel.
Let Reuben live and not die, and let his men be few in number.
And this for Judah; and he said: Hear, Yahweh, the voice of Judah, and bring him in to his people; with his own hands he contended for himself, and may you be a help against his enemies.
And of Levi he said: Your Thummim and your Urim belong to your faithful man, whom you tested at Massah, with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah.
who said of his father and of his mother: I did not see him; and his brothers he did not recognize, and his sons he did not know; for they kept your word, and they guard your covenant.
They will teach your justice to Jacob and your instruction to Israel; they will put incense in your nostril, and a whole offering on your altar.
Bless, Yahweh, his wealth, and accept the work of his hands; shatter the loins of those who rise against him, and of those who hate him, so that they may not rise.
Of Benjamin he said: The beloved of Yahweh will dwell in security beside him; he shields over him all the day, and between his shoulders he dwells.
And of Joseph he said: Blessed by Yahweh is his land, from the finest of the skies, from the dew, and from the deep that crouches beneath,
and from the finest of the produce of the sun, and from the finest of the yield of the months,
and from the head of the mountains of old, and from the finest of the hills of forever,
and from the finest of the land and its fullness, and the favor of the one dwelling in the thornbush; may it come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the crown of the consecrated one of his brothers.
The firstborn of his ox, splendor is his, and his horns are the horns of a wild bull; with them he will gore the peoples together, the ends of the land; and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
And to Zebulun he said: Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going forth, and Issachar, in your tents.
They will call peoples to the mountain; there they will sacrifice sacrifices of righteousness; for they will suckle the abundance of the seas, and the treasured things buried in the sand.
And to Gad he said: Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad; like a lion he dwells, and tears off an arm, even the crown of the head.
And he saw the first part for himself, for there a commander's portion was set aside; and he came with the heads of the people; he did the righteousness of Yahweh, and his justice with Israel.
And to Dan he said: Dan is a lion's cub; he leaps from Bashan.
And to Naphtali he said: Naphtali, satisfied with favor, and full of the blessing of Yahweh; take possession of the sea and the south.
And to Asher he said: Blessed above sons is Asher; may he be the favored one of his brothers, and one who dips his foot in oil.
Iron and bronze are your locks, and as your days, so your quiet.
There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides the skies to your help, and in his majesty the clouds.
A refuge is the God of old, and beneath are the arms of forever; and he drove out the enemy from your face, and said: Wipe out!
And Israel dwelt in security, alone, the spring of Jacob, toward a land of grain and new wine; also his skies drip dew.
Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh, the shield of your help, and who is the sword of your majesty? Your enemies will cringe before you, and you will tread on their high places.
