Deuteronomy26

And it will happen, when you come into the land that Yahweh your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you take possession of it and dwell in it,

then you will take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground that you bring in from your land that Yahweh your God is giving you, put it in the basket, and go to the place where Yahweh your God chooses to make his name dwell there.

You will come to the priest who will be in those days and say to him, 'Today I declare to Yahweh your God that I have come into the land that Yahweh swore to our fathers to give to us.'

The priest will take the basket from your hand and set it down before the altar of Yahweh your God.

Then you will answer and say before Yahweh your God, 'My father was a wandering Aramean; he went down to Egypt and sojourned there with only a few men, and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and numerous.'

And the Egyptians did us harm and afflicted us, and laid harsh service on us.

We cried out to Yahweh, the God of our fathers, and Yahweh heard our voice and saw our affliction, our toil, and our oppression.

And Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror, and with signs and wonders.

He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

And now, look, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground that you have given me, Yahweh. And you will set it down before Yahweh your God, and you will bow down before Yahweh your God.

And you will rejoice in all the good that Yahweh your God has given to you and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the sojourner who is in your midst.

When you finish giving the tenth, all the tenth of your harvest, in the third year, the year of the tenth, then you will give it to the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, and they will eat in your gates and be satisfied.

And you will say before Yahweh your God, 'I have removed the holy thing from the house, and I have also given it to the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all your commandment that you have commanded me; I have not passed over any of your commandments, and I have not forgotten them.'

I did not eat of it in my sorrow, nor did I remove any of it while unclean, nor give any of it to the dead; I have listened to the voice of Yahweh my God, I have done all that you commanded me.

Look down from the dwelling place of your holiness, from the heavens, and blessed your people Israel and the ground that you gave to us, as you swore to our fathers, a land flowed milk and honey.

This day Yahweh your God is commanding you to do these statutes and the justices; you shall keep and do them with all your heart and with all your being.

Today you have avowed Yahweh to be your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes and his commandments and his justice, and to listen to his voice.

And Yahweh has avowed you today to be his people, a treasured possession, as he spoke to you, and that you keep all his commandments,

and to set you on high above all the nations that he has made, for praise and for a name and for splendor, and for you to be a people holy to Yahweh your God, as he spoke.
