Deuteronomy25

When there is a dispute between men, and they draw near to the justice, and judge them, they declare the righteous one righteous and condemn the wicked one.

And it will happen, if the wicked one deserves a beating, that the judge will make him fall down and have him struck in his presence, according to the abundance of his wickedness, by number.

Forty times he may strike him; he must not add to it, lest he add to strike him beyond these with a great blow, and your brother be dishonored in your eyes.

You will not muzzle an ox in its threshing.

When brothers dwell together and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead man will not belong outside to a strange man; her brother-in-law will come in to her and take her for himself as a wife, and do a brother-in-law's duty by her.

And it will be that the firstborn whom she bears will stand up for the name of his dead brother, so that his name will not be wiped out from Israel.

But if the man does not desire to take his sister-in-law, then his sister-in-law will go up to the gate, to the elders, and will say, 'My brother-in-law refuses to raise up a name in Israel for his brother; he is not willing to do a brother-in-law's duty for me.'

Then the elders of his city will summon him and speak to him; and he stands firm and says, 'I have no delight in taking her.'

Then his sister-in-law will draw near to him in the eyes of the elders, and will pull his sandal off his foot, and will spit in his face, and will answer and say, 'This is how it is done to the man who does not build the house of his brother.'

And his name will be called in Israel, 'The house of him whose sandal was pulled off.'

When men quarrel together, a man and his brother, and the wife of the one comes near to rescue her husband from the hand of the one striking him, and stretches out her hand and takes hold of him by his genitals,

then you will cut off her palm; your eye will not look with pity.

You will not have in your bag a stone and a stone, great and small.

You will not have in your house an ephah and an ephah, great and small.

A full stone with righteousness will be yours; a full ephah with righteousness will be yours, so that your days grow long on the ground that Yahweh your God is giving you.

For everyone who does these things, everyone who does injustice, is an abomination to Yahweh your God.

Remember what Amalek did to you on the way when you came out of Egypt.

how he met you on the way and cut off your tail, all the worn-out ones behind you, when you were exhausted and weary; and he did not fear God.

And it will happen, when Yahweh your God gives you rest from all your enemies round about, in the land that Yahweh your God is giving you as an inheritance to take possession of it, you will wipe out the memorial of Amalek from under the skies; you will not forget.
