When a man takes a woman and marries her, and it happens that she does not find favor in his eyes, because he has found in her a word of nakedness, and he writes her a document of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her away from his house,
and she goes out of his house, and goes, and belongs to another man.
and the last man hates her, and writes her a document of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her away from his house; or if the last man, who took her for himself as a wife, dies.
Her first husband, who sent her away, is not able to return to take her to be his wife, after she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the face of Yahweh. You will not bring into guilt the land that Yahweh your God is giving you as an inheritance.
When a man takes a new wife, he will not go out with the army, and no word will pass over him; he will be free for his house one year, and will gladden his wife, whom he took.
No one will take as a pledge a hand-mill or an upper millstone, for he is taking a being as a pledge.
When a man is found stealing a being from among his brothers, from the children of Israel, and treats him as a bound sheaf, and sells him, that thief will die; and you will burn out the evil from your midst.
Guard yourself in the plague of leprosy, to keep very carefully and to do according to all that the priests, the Levites, teach you; as I commanded them, you will keep to do.
Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam on the way when you came out of Egypt.
When you lend your neighbor a loan of anything, you will not go into his house to take his pledge.
Outside you will stand, and the man to whom you are lending will bring out the pledge to you outside.
And if he is a poor man, you will not lie down in his pledge.
You will surely return the pledge to him as the sun goes in, and he will lie down in his cloak and bless you; and for you it will be righteousness before the face of Yahweh your God.
You will not oppress a hired man, poor and needy, whether one of your brothers or one of your sojourners who is in your land, in your gates.
On his day you will give his wages, and the sun will not go in over it; for he is poor and he lifts up his being to it; so that he will not call out against you to Yahweh, and it will be a sin in you.
Fathers will not be put to death for children; and children will not be put to death for fathers; each man will be put to death for his own sin.
You will not bend the justice of a sojourner or a fatherless one, and you will not take as a pledge the garment of a widow.
You will remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you from there; therefore I am commanding you to do this word.
When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you will not return to take it; it will be for the sojourner, for the fatherless, and for the widow, so that Yahweh your God may bless you in every work of your hands.
When you beat off your olive tree, you will not go over it behind you; it will be for the sojourner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
When you cut off the grapes of your vineyard, you will not glean behind you; it will be for the sojourner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
You will remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt; therefore I am commanding you to do this word.
