At the end of seven years you will make a release.
And this is the word of the release: every owner of the loan of his hand, which he lends to his neighbor, will release it; he will not press his neighbor or his brother, for a release for Yahweh has been proclaimed.
You may press the foreigner, but whatever is yours with your brother, let your hand release.
However, there will be no needy person among you, for Yahweh will surely bless you in the land which Yahweh your God is giving you as an inheritance, to take possession of it.
Only if you truly hear the voice of Yahweh your God, to keep and do all this commandment that I am commanding you this day.
For Yahweh your God has blessed you, as he spoke to you; and you will lend on pledge to many nations, but you will not give a pledge; and you will rule over many nations, but over you they will not rule.
If there is among you a needy person, one of your brothers, in one of your gates, in your land that Yahweh your God is giving you, you will not harden your heart, and you will not shut your hand from your brother the needy.
For you will surely open wide your hand to him, and you will surely lend him enough for his need, whatever he lacks.
Guard yourself, lest there be a word of worthlessness in your heart, saying, 'The year of the seven, the year of the release has drawn near,' and your eye is evil toward your brother the needy, and you do not give to him; and he calls out against you to Yahweh, and it becomes sin in you.
You will surely give to him, and your heart will not be sad when you give to him, for on account of this word Yahweh your God will bless you in all your work and in every undertaking of your hand.
For the needy will not cease from the midst of the land; for this reason I am commanding you, saying, 'You will surely open wide your hand to your brother, to your poor and to your needy in your land.'
If your brother, an Eberite man or an Eberite woman is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you will send him away free from you.
And when you send him away free from you, you will not send him away empty-handed.
You will surely generously furnish him from your flock, and from your threshing-floor, and from your wine-press; from what Yahweh your God has blessed you with, you will give to him.
And you will remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and Yahweh your God ransomed you; therefore I am commanding you this word today.
And it will be, if he says to you, 'I will not go out from you,' because he loves you and your household, because it is good for him with you,
then you will take the awl and you will set it in his ear and in the door, and he will be your slave forever; and also to your maid-servant you will do likewise.
It will not be hard in your eyes when you set him free from you, for six years he has served you at double the wages of a hired laborer; and Yahweh your God will bless you in all that you do.
Every firstborn male that is born among your cattle and among your flock you will set apart to Yahweh your God; you will not work with the firstborn of your ox, and you will not shear the firstborn of your flock.
Before the face of Yahweh your God you will eat it, year by year, in the place that Yahweh will choose, you and your household.
And if there is in it a blemish, lame or blind, any bad blemish, you will not sacrifice it to Yahweh your God.
In your gates you will eat it, the unclean and the clean together, like the gazelle and like the deer.
Only its blood you must not eat; you will pour it out on the land like water.
