At that time Michael, the great prince who stands over the sons of your people, will rise up. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened since there was a nation until that time. And at that time your people will escape, everyone who is found written in the scroll.
And many of those asleep in the dust of the ground will awake, some to life forever, and some to reproaches, to abhorrence forever.
Those who act wisely will shine like the brightness of the expanse, and those who turn the many to righteousness will shine like the stars, forever and ever.
But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal up the scroll until the time of the end. Many will rove about, and knowledge will increase.
Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others standing, one here at the bank of the stream, and one there at the bank of the stream.
One said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, 'How long until the end of the wonders?'
I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, and he raised his right hand and his left to the skies and swore by the one who lives forever that it would be for an appointed time, appointed times, and a half; and when the shattering of the power of the holy people is finished, all these things will be finished.
I heard, but did not understand; so I said, 'My lord, what will be the latter end of these things?'
He said, 'Go, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.'
Many will purify themselves, make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand; but those who act wisely will understand.
From the time the regular offering is removed, and the desolating detested thing is set up, there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
How happy is the one who waits and reaches one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
But you, go on to the end; you will rest, and you will rise to your lot at the end of the days.
